    I'm getting really annoyed.

He seems to do the USA every year but only plays other countries when it tickles his pickle.

Its not fair, I tells ya. Lemmy does it every year, why can't Dave?

Yea, but I doubt Lemmy and Southside Johnny and Porcupine Tree have the kind of money Dave has, but they still do it.

Dude, Dave is in the U.S.A.

They get a bus, and they tour the U.S.A. Sometimes they drive

              the bus up into Canada.

Once you involve air travel the costs skyrocket. I am sure if

a Brittish promoter was to cover the travel expenses Dave and

              the boy's would be there.

Until then, you probably won't be seeing him at the Marquee.

I went to the show in Pala, CA last night. The only negative thing I have to say is that it wasn't loud enough. When I saw him during the Sam and Dave tour it was like that as well. Maybe Dave wants it that way. Other than that it was excellent. It probably sounds clich'e by now but Dave sounds better than ever. Really. The band he has is freag'n awesome. He found a gem in Brian Young. That dude smokes.

Dave didn't do any bluegrass tunes. He changed his shirt/jacket several times which I thought was cool. He did a lot of kicks. He and Brian seem to have a good rapport. Dave didn't talk a whole lot this time but when he did he was very whitty. The atmosphere was great. It was outdoors and surrounded by mountains and the Pala hotel. Dave even pointed out how nice the view was. About midway through the show I noticed all the people standing at their windows of their hotel rooms which basically enclosed the venue. There was one young kid that was there for probably the entire show giving the "Texas Longhorn" symbol and banging his head. The show seemed to build steam as it went on instead of vice versa.

...definitely worth the price of admission. One other thing, they weren't selling any t-shirts.

I'll be posting a review and hopefully some pics.
I did take some pics but they're not worth posting. I took them with my wife's cell phone. We were running late and I didn't want to take the chance of not being able to take the camera in.

I was at Pala too. The only drawback I found was that the crowd was older ... 50's and 60's, so Dave really toned down the "F-word" usage and the thing is.....at a DLR Concert, there is no such thing as sitting down to watch his concert......You wanna stand and dance ! 1/2 the audience remained in their seats and the other half were on their toes. Thank god, I was in the Section that was standing, cuz there was no way I was going to sit thru a ROTH performance.

I went to the Vegas show the night before at House of Blues and his show was even better - more his style of crowd - younger and rowdier.

One of the coolest highlights is the bluesy licks that B-Young does on stage with Toshi - sounded very cool and then Dave comes out with the Fedora hat on and sunglasses and that wild striped blazer....

KEY CLUB IS SUNDAY...this should be a KILLER SHOW!!!!

Yeah, now that you mention it, it did seem to be an older crowd. There was one lady who was probably in her mid 50s who was on the riser section behind the mixing board and she danced her ass off from the beginning to the end. She was really fun to watch.

Some guy in his mid 50's got smacked and knocked down to the ground and had a bloody nose - looked like he may have got his nose broke right up near the middle of the stage while Dave played "Ice Cream Man". There were many older drunk folks there!

It was a fight that went on. It was in the middle of the walkway at the front of the stage.

Was there a barracade or security between the stage and front row? Just curious. I didn't get a chance to get up there.

There was a small barricade, but it was a portable one that anyone can move. The security were nitwits who were basically casino personnel who were older folks and didn't know how to handle a Rock Show.
