Yeah, but I think Dave just wants to sing with the VH sign above him...he wants the spotlight again. He would be back in Van Halen if the bass player from Sum 41 were taking the spot.

Still, someone else said it...they'd see Dave alone, so why not see him on this tour?

My only problem is that I don't want to give Ed my money when I know he's just being an ego-centric cunt, having his own kid playing bass when there are people far more qualified to do so...such as the original player.

The other reason I'm really disappointed is that I want, for once, Sam to be left out 100%. At least here he can be satisfied that his fat hot sauce-peddlin' friend won't be out there sharing the spotlight.

But one more thing...would I buy a reunion album if Mike weren't playing bass? Fuck yes...I could give a fuck if he plays bass on an album. But his singing, I don't see how they'll replace those back-ups. Maybe Wolfgang can sing high because he hasn't cleared puberty yet...

Honestly, I've just got a feeling that once they're all in the same room, logic will prevail at the end of the day...at least I hope so...and touring with Wolfgang on bass just isn't logical.

I'm all for it, however, if he wants to get on stage and jam with Dad for a song a la 2004...no problems there...

But I'm hopeful that once Mike gets in the same room with Ed at the induction, maybe Al will see some sense to having Mike on stage with them and whisper a few little ideas into Eddie's ear...it's happened before...

I'd say 70/30 against, but you guys just think it's because Sam's not involved, but that's just not the case. No one who prefers Sam would be excited at the prospect of Mike being out then either.

I think most people in all of these communities are pretty disappointed that Ed has found a way to fuck it up again.
