The other reason I'm really disappointed is that I want, for once, Sam to be left out 100%. At least here he can be satisfied that his fat hot sauce-peddlin' friend won't be out there sharing the spotlight.

But one more thing...would I buy a reunion album if Mike weren't playing bass? Fuck yes...I could give a fuck if he plays bass on an album. But his singing, I don't see how they'll replace those back-ups. Maybe Wolfgang can sing high because he hasn't cleared puberty yet...

I'm just viewing this a a chance to see Dave live again. I'd be a lot more excited if there were new music to go along with the touring venture. However, there isn't nor does there seem to be.

So, I'm looking at this just like The Who's 25th Aniversary Tour that I saw in '89. It was a great show (infact) one of THE BEST shows I've ever seen) but I went in knowing it wasn't really "The Who" persay...

I think this would be better if they "Officially" entitled it something like "Van Halen's Hall Of Fam Tour Featuring David Lee Roth." That would be better and soothe a lot of the hardcore fan's wounds. IMO.
