The more I think about it, the more I think the whole Wolfgang angle is due to the fact that they're haggling with Michael about royalties and trying to convince him to accept less money for the tour.

That strikes me as FAR more realistic than a 15 year old bassist with three months of experience going out with Van Halen for fuck's sake.

If I'm right, Mike will be there. Even if he's only making $500 a night, he'll be there with bells on.

Michael was the perfect complement vocally for dave and he was the perfect complement musically for Edward...

He's a very underrated bass player and this is just sad...

Just go to the Atomic punks site and take a look at the video with Mike A. singing backgroud vocals for them.Then take a look at there videos without him.Although the punks are great,with Mike A. singing background vocals changes they way they sound.Like it or not Mike A. is a big part of the the sound of classic Van Halen.Not to date myself,but I saw Van Halen 14 with Roth live,and the worst concert for me by far was the Women and Children First tour in Baton Rouge La.,when the mighty Van Halen took the stage and something was wrong with the PA and we couldn't hear Mike A. background vocals.We had about 20 of my friend at that concert and we all walked away dissapointed.Not that Van Halen wasn't great,it was that without hearing Mike A. background vocals it just didn't sound like CVH.I don't mine trying something new but I think Roth and Eddie are making a big mistake touring without Mike,but I guess only time will tell!
