Dave certainly doesn't have Howard Stern's kind of money but if Dave was out of cash we probably would see him on reality TV shows like all the rest of the desperate ones.

Dave was paid $8 million dollars from CBS radio, Stern said this last week. He also owns alot of real estate, commercial buildings/strip malls in Ca. I heard his net worth is around 15-20 Million.

Although Dave & Stern are friends, I don't think Dave, being the private person he is, will disclose his finances to Stern. And, if Stern was so concerned, why doesn't he loan his friend a few million? Afterall, didn't Sirius give Stern $500M to grab him from CBS?

I think Dave is probably very frugal with his own expenditures for himself. But, when I spoke to his previous Publicist in my efforts to do the Hollywood Star Project, she told me that Dave is not only very loyal to his posse, he also pays them well. She also noted that he did pay out of his personal funds for the "Shoo-Bop" Video and the "No Holds BBQ" (which we already knew) and Dave mentions this in his book CFTH, but like it was pointed out in this thread.....he volunteered his EMT time without pay.

What does that tell ya?

Well...it says Dave does NOT need the $$, despite Stern's quote AND he's not fronting any gigs at a NYC Taco Bell billed as Rat Salade.

Thats what i heard on xm radio.He did get paid a few million from cbs and his net worth is in the 20 million dollar range.

This subject has been put up before and I'll say the same thing I said in the past.

The original drummer from the band BOSTON is a close friend. He hasn't played or toured with them since the late 70's early 80's. Only residuals he gets is from those first two albums and those did sell real well. But that's it. He hasn't been in any major band or done any major business moves and he's doing just great. Lives in an upscale town...sending his two kids to college. Golfs 3 or 4 times a week in the summer. Of course it's obvious he was very smart with his money. With all of the residuals from all the albums that Dave has been on with VH, he's making DAMN big money!

You've all seen pictures of his house. Same one he bought probably in the 80's. Paid for I'm sure.

NO DOUBT that Davey is FLAT ASS BROKE!

Not selling any albums! Not doing any tours! No outside business ventures that make him any money! All he's got is the Van Halen album royalties, and the only reason THEY sell so much is because EACH AND EVERY DAY, somebody hears WHY CANT THIS BE LOVE, DREAMS, OR RIGHT NOW on the radio and goes out and buys those albums! Then they think that the Davey Van Halen stuff must be good, buy an album or two of those and find out it ISN'T!

And Davey's DESPERATE for those sales which is the ONLY reason he has any money at ALL!

I just think it's too bad that Eddie feels so sorry for Davey that he has to throw him a bone! In the end, it's the REAL fans that lose out, because we're losing time on more Sammy Hagar stuff!

The Lying Dutchmen have been claiming Dave is broke since 1992 when Dave's dad called Eddie V.

That's a long time to be broke without going bankrupt and keeping your mansion, car collections and World travels up, isn't it?

Dave is worth WAY MORE than 20 million. Doe th math. Despite all the BS about his "lousy" solo career, he has sold 10 million or so albums solo in the USA ALONE. Add to that VH sales, residuals, 10 or morer World tours, summer tours, merchandising, books, investments NONE of us know about, and simple interest from the bank and Dave has more money than he can ever spend.

I'd be willing to bet he has WAY MORE money than Ed, Alex, and MA combined.
