The Pasadena house is close to where I live and I think you would be suprised to know how close it is to a main throughfare and it's proximity to an apt. complex (I'd say less than 100 ft. away from the walls around the perimiter of the driveway).

Dave IS rich, he just lives smart.

Anyone who is saying shit about his financial status is weak. Stern has turned into a bitch now that nobody other than his paid listeners are paying attention to him. Eddie has his reasons too. They are both fucking weak in my book.

Nobody can take that smile off Dave's face. Trying for years, no luck so far!!

ya over on bradford. big walls...a 2million dollar loan cant create a big enough interest tax shelter to justify given the monthly payment it entails

I was living Van Halen -- classic Van Halen -- before most of you were itches in your mommy's crotch. What does that have to do with anything? Beats me. I just like to put it out there to try and make it seem like my opinion matters more than yours.

Yea, but what I'm saying is that his income can vary wildly, not in amounts, but in the time it takes.

I can tell you for example, that in late 2001 the publishing system Warner Chappell was using basically imploded, causing all kinds of havoc to the thousands of companies who are paid royalties by them. It's 2007 and they still haven't cleaned it up completely and there are all kinds of audits going on.

                        That's just show business.

My point to you is how do you know that it is out of desperation that he took that loan out? What I'm saying is that he probably took it out to remain more liquid instead of drawing out of some fixed investments with all kinds of penalties.

A loan does not equal desperation. In some cases it could be a very smart move. I'm sure someone smarter than you or I advised him to make that move.

Actually, it means you're a fucking moron, because you have Sammy Hagar's head up your ass after seeing the original VH. Poor idiot. At least all the dolts at the links have an excuse for liking Hagar - they've never seen classic VH live - but you, you're just an idiot, plain and simple. And a crybaby as I remember as well. Van Squalen fits you perfectly.

If Dave was broke, he wouldn't live in both NY and Pasadena. He wouldn't spend a million on a BBQ video that's not for sale. In fact, he would have gone bankrupt long ago.

He's sold twice as many records as Sammy and the classic VH records continue to sell, according to the RIAA. Dave also has no kids to support, no wife to take his money, no drug habit he needs to kick.

So some loser from the links comes here and says Dave is taking out loans with no proof whatsoever? This isn't the links, where shit like that is taken as fact. In fact, it was Hagar who fired his entire Tequila staff because his sales were in a downward spiral. Funny how none of these idiots, like this pussy Van Squalen who cried to the moderator about me at VHlinks, never brings THAT up.

It's funny how the Hagar fans can't argue record sales (Dave has twice as many as Sam), they can't argue the music (everyone knows classic VH is the best era), so they bring up some useless tequila stat (who gives a shit. Any millionaire can open a business).

Then they cry like a little bitch because we don't put Hagar on equal status as Dave (because he isn't, he's sold only half as much). It's not are fault we actually have taste in music.

Dave is so rich he donated his time as an EMT. Ask Billy Sheehan. I'll take his word over this kid, Van Squalen, and his Link's kids anyday:

RoughEdge.com: Yeah, right on, man. So David Lee Roth is going to be a paramedic, of all things!

Billy Sheehan: Yeah, I just talked with some people who know him. He's already delivered a baby and he donates his pay to charity and it's a pretty cool adventure. As much I know Dave, I know he's doing it just for the adventure. He doesn't need the money. Here's a guy who's had quadruple, quintuple platinum records and he's set for life, so why not go out and look at it from that point-of-view? Actually, my hat's really off to him for doing that.

Terry Kilgore on David Lee Roth's money from vintage amp forum:

he got mad at kierin mccelland one day when i was there,i was immediatly asked to leave which i did with pleasure ive seen enough of his tantrums to know when to split.as i was pulling out in my mint cond bmw 635 ! i heard a crashing sound behind the car and small pieces of unknown origin peltin the car.turns out that the brand new 35 inch sony trinitron made its way out of the 2nd story of his flat! does not seem like a long drop but bare in mind the nature of his house twenty foot celings ya dig>? so this thing does a header in the driveway right behind my car trinnys way alot.then a few hours later kieren was fired and dave proceeded to throw out of the office
these items in the trash.1 manly preamp 2 5800 dollar sony broadcast mic two akg 414s an allen heath mix wizard, and many other less valuable items in the dumpster which no one was allowed to go near .so
the garbage men scored big time?

i mean that was ten grand worth of stuff i was told by his manager that he spent faithfully thousands of dollars a week on stuff that just was .....well stuff.......junk magazines guns strippers food resturants gotta say this if hes in a good mood he is the best guy in the world to go out to a strip bar or clothing expedition lol .heck he even let me drive the hot for teacher merc for a week but it really attracted way to much attention.its very wierd to know someone that can afford to be that way.its so unlike the other 99 percent of people out there / i do remember his greatest contempt was towards the industry the companys if they were givin dave a bad time he was always real easy to deal with on a personal level .if it looked like he was going to do well for a change hed get a bit scared and flogg everyone within reach.....brett tuggle once said to me terry if you make it thru this alive the rest of your life will be
a down hill coast victory..... the jury is still out on that one..............tt

Money doesn't mean jack at the end of the day, but boy Sammy sure has a lot of it from record sales and Cabo!

The Red Rocker takes that one to the bank! Think I'm gonna go get me a shot right now . . .

                              Van Squalen out.

If Sammy is so fucking rich, why did he come crawling on his knees to get back in VH in 2004? How come, according to Mike Anthony, Dave turned down a 50 million payday in 2000, if he was so broke?

There have been numerous tries for a Dave/VH reunion, and every time Dave has stood his ground. If he was so poor, he would lick ass for that kind of money.

OTOH, Mike Anthony sold all his rights to VH to tour for peanuts. Hmm, sounds like Mikey isn't doing to well, why else would he do that?

Sammy said he was happy and that he would only tour with VH for charity, but guess what, he came crawling back and worked out a deal real easy and continues to pitch another Van Hagar reunion, even after saying the last one was hell. Why? Sounds like Sammy is hurting too.

Dave, hasn't sold out or crawled back to anyone, sounds like he is doing ok.

All you fucking Hagar fans and your F.U.C.K. buddies need to get a life and quit living your life through Sammy. A cantina does not equal musical talent. Sam lucked out, and inherited his fame from Roth. He didn't even have a Platinum record until AFTER he joined VH. Sales declined with Sammy.

Until you have access to all the band's bank accounts, stick that piss tequila bottle up your ass.
