Well, you treat me like a personal Jesus
Got your hand, put it where it's gonna heal ya
Ungh, Got the finger put it right there on the trigger
Pump it up, Pump it up, Baby make it bigger
Well, I go crazy
Pumping it up, pumping it up
Oohoh,
It's gonna heal ya
(baby let me show you what it will do)
She put the cream in my coffee (first thing in the morning)
Spread that butter on my biscuit (Honey do my melon)
Wooh, Cherries on bananas (Gonna need a second helping)
You know I'm up for breakfast (So early in the morning)
Out the front, leave the back door open
Yeah, hot tub, loosen up, baby been soaking
I been tokin', been sipping
Slip slop slippin' ah got me dripping... wet
I go crazy
Keeping it up, pumping it up, pumping it up
Ohh, yeah
Ain't gonna kill ya
(baby let me show you what it will do)
She put the cream in my coffee (first thing in the morning)
Spread that butter on my biscuit (Honey do my melon)
With berries on bananas (I need a second helping)
That's why I'm up for breakfast so early in the morning
Wake me up babe
Get me up, wake me up
Gotta get up, Gotta get up, Gotta get up, Gotta get up
Yeah
Wohoh...
<Guitar Solo>

I have been a huge fan of this bad for my whole music listening life, however you would think that a bad of this caliber would be able to produce something more than what we have been getting for the last ten years. I have never seen a band more wrapped up in keeping the things that they have to know that people want from coming to light. When I say this I don't mean singer this singer that. All singing aside, this band, of any still alive could produce an album of monumental status with the greatest of ease. Lets's hear something RAW, Loose, and of the production quality of say 79-82. I know it's possible.
This makes IT'S ABOUT TIME sound like a miracle! And IT'S ABOUT TIME was worse than almost anything off VH III.
This is horrible. This is definitely the worst Van Halen song I've ever heard except for maybe MAN ON A MISSION. This is like fucking new country!!
I'm gonna go in the bathroom and then throw up. Then I'll put on VAN HALEN II and remember that life can be good...

Originally posted by dysfunction That's kind of funny because he has performed with Hagar live. Why would he perform with someone that he hated? He wouldn't so obviously he likes Van Hagar too.
He's just better than hagar.
Lyrics and voice.
that's the point.
I ne ver bought Van Hagar, I never realized it's soooooooooooooo fucking bad.
Originally posted by dysfunction I hope that is not the best response you have for why he performed with Hagar. I really don't know but I am curious if he has ever performed with Dave since he likes him so much.
Dave turned mike down!!!
He's not half-assed. Like sammy and his fan's expectations.
You guys are nuts! I can't believe David Lee Roth has such loyal fans. Nor can I believe Sammy Hagar has loyal fans. The point is these guys are idiots, equally in different ways. Their both washed-up losers.
What's important is the music that Eddie's playing, not the goddamn frontman. Who the hell cares whose singing. Do you think for a DAMN SECOND that Van Halen became popular even partly because of David Lee Roth? Think again.
Originally posted by Warham Yes, Van Halen became popular because of Roth and Ed.
Eddie would have made it on his own anyway. No one cares about some egocentric drunk singer, always singing about the same thing. Listen to Unchained and tell me DLR's little rant in there is intelligent. I'm not saying Sammy's any better, but they're both losers. You should buy Van Halen for the guitarwork, not the drunk frontman.
Originally posted by Warham I happen to like Dave's lines in Unchained. Fuckin' better than anything Hagar raps about.
Okay. I'll admit that Hagar is no better than DLR... but the both suck! "Okay. One break. Coming up!" Yup. THOSE are some amazing lyrics!!! jk. they suck.

Van Halen COULD come up with some music similar to his 80's style. But Eddie's not like that. He's an experimenter. He tries new things all the time. Every album has a new sound to it.
If you don't like EVH to experiment, you just got to remember that he had to experiment to find the brown sound and reinvent tapping in the first place.
Eddie's not going to go back to his old style any time soon. He's still trying out new stuff. But, he might stumble upon something that will once again revolutionize the rock world.
See, to listen to lyrics that are profound, listen to Bob Dylan or Paul Simon.
Profound lyrics are not a requirement to be a great frontman.
Dave never required profound lyrics to get his message across anyway, so this arguement that he sucks because his lyrics aren't deep is flawed. He didn't need them, so why use them??
Dave was/is the whole package: charisma, flair, showmanship, stage performance and singing.

I'm not asking for profound lyrics. I'm asking for lyrics that make sense. Look at Guns N Roses for instance. No, the majority of their lyrics are not profound. But yes, they make sense, and they always have a different message. That's what you need. You can't just have some weird cowboy (why the hell does he wear a cowboy suit anyway?) talking about his pervertous thoughts IN EVERY SONG!!!
