Roth Army: 10th Year Anniversary

The Army opened in April 99'... but the message board didn't opened until late April/may 2000.... as well as the slawterhouse ghost town board... then the pleasure dome opened in October 2000. I will put my money on it... I never forget a thing. There was also a brief war with slawterhouse and here involving South Texas Rocker and staff lol.... and a early war in 2001 involving the vhlinks.... in which seshmeister interupted the arguement playing a MIDI file of Whitney Houston's, "The greatest love of all".

Before the message board, there was the guest book. Plus I remember there being a brief description of each weapon in the Roth Army Arsenal. Plus there was a part that show the state/country where each member was from.

I'll say it again and again. I THOUGHT it was more like '99 when I came on and there was one girl who posted maybe once or twice. JaneVH or something like that. I jumped in by going into the Fan's Introduction and said, "I was waiting on lighting a fuckin' candle to see VH get back together again." Then Warf was the first to welcome me in along with Brownsound and Blueyedmurderer. I ran with those big dogs for a long, long time and held my own. Got into it with some character, now I will be damned to remember the name. That's where I met up with Hitch and Drock (now known as DeeRock at hitchworld), and even hambon4lif. The next lady that came in was yankeerose. At one point we got into a battle with hitch and he called us "Twin Twats". I had that in my signature for a long time after all of that. I started a thread called, "Girls Night Out" that was real popular with the girls that started to wander in. Sweet Irony came in, Alley Kat, Chelle, Melein, Rose, Elitest, and Faith...and if you remember even the gents would pop in from time to time. VH Freak, Cathedral, Panamark, and bug would come in and mess around. Once in a while Kane would come in and say some hilarious shit and type, "SAY IT!". He was one tough, bad ass mutha. Igosplut took that title over in my eyes after he left. Then there was the 'virtual reality' shit like Outback Jacks and Diamond Mafia. Sarge asked if I wanted to be a Mod and I modded the Fan Intro at one point and then Non. I said one day in the mod forum, "This is the motherfuckin' bat cave." So be it and it shall be named. When Sesh came aboard, I thought....who is this cool cat posting? Funny, witty, and always a story to share. MaynardRXA with his simple posts of "SHIT!" or "I LOVE MITTENS" in a post that had nothing to do with anything. Roy Munson came aboard and was just as damn funny. Then out of the blue dumpmeister gold. Professor Plum/aka Flappospammo, Grimsdale, and GoldenAWe. The over the pond gems that hipped us to British humor. Mr. Bad Guy was also posting in there, but damn if he didn't know a LOT about music. He was a walking music encyclopedia. Ford and I rarely seen eye to eye on much back in the day, and I thought he was a pompous twit. But after 10 years on the same boards, basically...I grew to really read his posts and get to know 'where' he was coming from. He also has an amazing amount of knowledge on the music scene. I honestly think he is one of the most intelligent posters out there.

I have so many wonderful memories of RothArmy, and some not so wonderful...the battle with Eyes, the battle with hitch.

I will NEVER EVER forget though when I was going through a rough time in my life, this board really rallied around me and gave me lots of support. It was because of hitch sharing the story with the board that the outpouring of concern came. I remember private messages from people I barely interacted with showing me support, care and concern.


So I have seen this place from it's baby steps, to being closed and opened quite a few times.

Ten Years....Sarge, thanks for the memories shared, the laughter and all the soap opera one could ever handle.

Now to the new class clowns, the ones who take the reigns....

Make us proud, make us RothArmy proud.

Wow it is weird to think that this place has been around so long.

I have been here for 4 years this month and it has gone by in a flash. I still remember the early days of my posting, and how much random shit I have learned since I have been a member. I've never really carved a niche here like most of the other long time posters, but I'm fine with just throwing my two cents around here and there, and being the "snot nosed brat" as Lounge would put it.

I love this place and everyone here, including mr. machine.
