I am sure a lot of you guys have seen this before, but thought I would post it since the discussion is unreleased VH and 1984 out takes came up.

Also wonder why CVH never did sponsored concerts like Live Aid, Woodstock,Farm Aids and say the Haiti one that just went. American Idol w/ guest stars VH? Or SNL with VH...? I dunno?

One thing I always found a bit odd was there were none of the 4 Van Halen members present for Ronnie James Dios 'Hear N Aid'. That song We're Stars had just about everyone from hard rock imaginable.

I know Vince Neil was in the chorus, but missed his chance to sing a verse because it fell on the same day Crue was recording the Smokin' In The Boys Room video. But no Van Halen there? All those guys contributing guitar solos? All those singers? Fuck me! Even Dan Aykroyd and Spinal Tap guys were in the chorus.

I wonder if they were invited & declined, couldn't make it due to other arrangements, or got the cold shoulder.

There are so many parts of old unreleased songs I'd love to see get used presently. Down in Flames and Honalulu Baby stand on their own, but songs like Believe Me or Eyes of the Night have great riffs all over the place but very dated themes and lyrics. I'm all for butchered old songs as ingredients for new ones ala Where Were You Last Night/Hang'Em High. If no bootleg ever saw light of day and we all heard the sweet riff to the chorus of Light in the Sky for the first time this summer, we'd all be fainting from it's awesomeness without knowing it was 34 years old. Holy crap was that skinny kid from Holland ever ahead of his time.

I would love to hear Angel Eyes which Roth sung and played guitar to, it had a nice Zeppelin feel to it and showcased what we already know and others want to deny...Roth has a awesome voice
