Uhhhh... Dude.... I was right. VH did tour. They did reunite. My source was right. However, It wasn't stadiums and they didn't have any opening acts, but it did happen. Look at the date on my post how it predates any annocuncement from the band. I too thought it was weird that they'd even have an opening act. Anyway, this is what my friend tells me and he was right before so I have to think he is correrct this time as well.Yeah right.... Because you and your "source" were so right the last time........
Yeah, I remember that tour. Especially the reunited GnR set. Axl, Slash, Izzy, Duff, and FORD on drums never sounded better! (Adler was back in rehab and couldn't make it)

Can't say I agree with this assumption...
Quite possible 2007/8 tour was purely a one and done deal, but with future options (albums, tours, etc...) at the sole discretion of the Dutch Pricks... contingent on Dave's public "gag-order" for a specific period of time. He talks... all bets are off. May even have to forfeit previous earnings.
Reason I suspect this... is the pure angst and hatred the brothers have shown towards Mike & Hagar. Fueled by their continued public commentary on the band VH. Ed wants full cuntrol or else..."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

Well, thing is, he can tell them to fuck off and toil on in relative obscurity, or he can agree and go on a major arena tour fronting the greatest band on Earth.
Much like the Bros. Grimm forced bassplayer to sign away a bunch of shit if he wanted to tour with them some years back.
They are complete and utter fucking assholes for doing Mike like that. Perhaps not so much Alex, but spEd's hatred of Mike is irrational. I can completely understand hating Spamulus Flatulus, as that fat fool ruined a once great band, but Mike was one of the ingredients that made the incredible CVH cake such a fantastic sonic meal.
If I were in his shoes, and had the same sense of fair play, maturity and integrity that I do, I would have told Mike he can do whatever he wants, play bass with whoever he wants, but the door is always open to play bass in Van Halen for forever.
But that is too much to ask from spEd I suppose. To act like a mature, understanding and tolerant professional.
I understand he loves his son. How can he not?
But again, if I were in his shoes, I would say "Mike is THE BASSPLAYER in Van Halen". I would help the kid in his musical endeavors, etc. but Mike would always be in VH.
Seriously....look at any video of CVH back in the day, compared to any video of the 2007 tour. NO FUCKING COMPARISON. Mike is a great fucking PERFORMER, and kicks total ass when it comes to the high-energy, atomic blast hard rock that CVH produces.
Wolfy just sorta stands around, and (no need to discuss this further - dead horsie been beat into a greasy smudge in the dirt) it is debatable as to how much bass he even played.
Seriously, they coulda just put a cardboard cutout of Wolfy up there and play along with pre-recorded bass tracks, and it would have made no difference to the crowd.
EDWARD VAN HALEN - LIFE IS PRECIOUS AND LIFE IS SHORT - KISS AND MAKE UP WITH MIKE AND BRING HIM BACK TO WHERE HE SHOULD BE......PLAYING BASS FOR VAN HALEN.
