I'm really starting to feel some excitement in my tummy about new Van Halen music. Almost a nervous excitement like as you climb up the high part / start of a roller coaster at Six Flags. I was thinking about this last night and I would even be excited if this was a new album with any singer in VH. Just a chance to listen to something new from EVH & AVH. I was even excited to hear the porn soundtracks Ed did. Didn't like them too much, but was still excited to hear them the first time or 3.

Add to that the fact that Dave is singing........I'm getting the butterflies. The good kind though. The kind I never thought I would get from awaiting a new album from any band again. WOOT! Yes Dave, I'm fucking ready!

Sorry if its been posted already. Another snippet of opinion. From blabbermouth

New VAN HALEN Album Is 'F**king Killer,' Says SEVENDUST Drummer - July 14, 2011

SEVENDUST drummer Morgan Rose has reportedly heard at least some of the upcoming VAN HALEN album, and has described it as "fucking killer. Eddie [Van Halen, guitar] hasn't sounded this good since 'Balance'. Dave's [Lee Roth] voice sounds great. Alex [Van Halen, drums] is absolutely bombastic."

More information continues to drip out about the new VAN HALEN album, which will be the first with original singer David Lee Roth since the group released 1984 in 1984. Producer Ross Hogarth spoke with Ultimate-Guitar.com about the work he did on the project, saying, "The whole VAN HALEN record has been recorded and we're all excited. We have just started mixing the record. I'm really stoked about it, as it is the original band, Eddie and Alex with Wolf [Eddie's son] playing bass, and David Lee Roth singing, it's the killing side of VAN HALEN at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire."

Hogarth's comments follow those of ALTER BRIDGE guitarist Mark Tremonti, who recently said in an interview that he had gotten an opportunity to hear the album through his friendship with Wolfgang. Tremonti said that the album sounded like "vintage VAN HALEN."

Meanwhile, MelodicRock.com has reported that a source close to the group says a world tour in support of the new album will kick off in November, which means the disc itself should be out this fall.

Rumors continue to swirl that a single will emerge sometime this month. Roth recently posted a message on his web site that simply said, "Get ready."

VAN HALEN is already confirmed to perform at Australia's Soundwave Revolution festival this September and October.

Saying that Eddie hasn't sounded so good since Balance is not inspiring.

My first dump of the day sounds better than Balance. In fact, I often sign off from them by saying 'Wham Bam! Amsterdam!'

Eddie seems to have some brain damage. He never was the same guy after he had his cancer. Plus, years and years of alcohol abuse starts to take it's toll. Ed turned himself into an old man while he still was in his 50's basically. As far as his guitar playing goes he's all over the place.

We still don't know what his treatments were. If he did any chemotherapy, that stuff leaves it's mark on your brain forever...FOREVER!

I think he's just trying to get involved - it can take time to learn to ropes and feel the boundaries.

Or, maybe I'm just in my generous mood today :D

I'm not a an of the album either, but I recall many saying his live playing on the tour was excellent since he was mostly sober in that time period. I honestly wouldn't know since I didn't give a fuck about them after 1990...

Agreed. Like Dave would know how to "Quote" if he ever visited the site. The Amish still get in car wrecks...even if they don't know it.
