Clearly Roth is not the leader. Even Michael Anthony said something is weird because Roth in his normal mode would be out in the media running his rap. Also, if Roth was the leader it would have happened by now. It's clear the Van Halens are the leader and that right there is the problem. It may never happen. Just because people get sober again does not mean they become sane and competent. Eddie Van Halen is no leader and should never be the leader. Dave needs to be captain.No! Nothing is going to happen until Rothtober. I told you that. Roth always said.......I follow Eddie. He never declared himself "Captain" of this ship. He said I am "Toastmaster General". You cannot toast something that is not MADE. Eddie makes the Music.....Roth makes it happen. If Eddie has no music.....then we can all roll up the carpet and go on with our business. I know....this album is done. What happens next is up to the fans. As I will be there in October.

After all, being where we've been at for all these months, I'd rather not read nor hear any official news
and eventually see it happen (more sooner than later, though) sometime this year, than get too much fuss
about it and finally have to bear another aborted project...

Nothing is going to happen. The Van Halens are not the sanest people on the planet. Who ran Van Halen in the old days was David Lee Roth and Ted Templeman. That's why Warners and the road crew went with Dave after he left Van Halen. They figured the two Dutch drunks were nothing without Dave. There is some truth to this. What kept VH going was Ed Leffler. What they got with Sammy Hagar was a good manager. If they got Ray Daniels and Gary Cherone nobody would be talking VH but then maybe the brothers would have gotten desperate enough to get Dave back. What really ruined Van Halen was commercial success with Sammy Hagar in the band. Once the brothers began to think they always could make it without Dave was the end of the classic lineup. I bet the only reason the tour with Dave happened was Eddie did it because Wolfgang wanted it but now these guys have to make new songs and an album. Good fucking luck. They have tried in the past and it failed. It will fail again.
