That would assume he's been told of "news" and therefore something to hold off...

I think he knows what's going on. He said the VHND has sources close to and within the VH camp. Holding off could mean they are having problems (most likely as Jeff has not even posted a basic update such as, "we hear things are going well - stay tuned". Or VH could be planning to announce their album with a much bigger splash in the media, such as a story in the LA Times, rather than a fan site. Dave would love that.

Yep - I'm sure they have not forgotten the backlash from fans in the late 90s.

Me and everyone else are stuck on CVH. That's what I love, that's what I crank out of the car on the way to the beach. Not Van Hagar, not MWM, not CGTSNM. The new Van Halen ain't CVH and they've yet to show me they're even close. The only positive is seeing Dave back at the helm - Ed's playing is shit, Pugsley replaced Mikey on bass, and absolutely no indication in my mind that the album that comes out won't be a sloppy, slushy four-single EP with one of the tracks being an audio interview or some shit.

As far as I'm concerned, they have to win me over all over again. Unless they can recreate the moment where I heard Fair Warning and said "WTF?!" they're done in my mind.

Sign me up for the boxed set and go away quietly, with some dignity. Don't pull a Michael Jordan/Brett Favre on us.

1996 still stings like a motherfucker. Crushed.

I can still remember how I heard the news. I was flicking through a magazine called 'Who', and there was a very small article at the bottom of one of the pages with a photo of Eddie. The story announced that Gary Cherone was the new lead singer of VH, with a quote from Eddie taking a shot at Dave.

Yeah, crushed is a good word to describe the let down.

I remember so clearly walking through a parking lot and hearing Panama being played on the radio and telling my buddy 'This is how it's gonna be..' in 96.... Crushed is a great way to describe it..

I'll believe it once the CD hits the racks. After reading Cheddheads book Edward Van Halen is a crummy human being without a guitar. Who said that?

That wouldn't surprise in the least being what a prick Edward an Al are to work with.

What the hell kinda nonsense is this about a new VH album with the Lee Meister up front?

You guys just can't get enuff of being trolled, eh?

                        Cheers! :bottle:

I think what we'll get is 4 new songs and a live cd. I can't picture these guys recording 10 to 12 new songs for a cd. Do they have the patience for that? We'll see I will be amazed if they pull that off.

I've heard that I could save up to 60% by switching to Geico.

Be interesting to see if the ''YES"" song appears on it...or any cover for that matter.
