First off, Dave's vocals were excellent on the last tour. He and Alex carried the tour whereas Ed and Wolfgang were spotty. I think if you look for a reason why there was no dvd released, it would be because Ed cannot find a 2 hour window all tour where HE was spot on. Secondly, why would you be in mixing stages of a record or concluded with it if the vocals were unsatisfactory? Unless, the mixing issue has been thrown up as a front to mask what is really going on.

That very well may be. However, Eds dissatisfaction does not = bad vocals. Just something to keep in mind. Dave might be knocking it out of the park & Ed would find something wrong with it.

What was Eds old quote? Something along the lines of I don't want DLR style vocals. I want something ANY singer can come in and do. I think it was in Daves book and I tend to believe Dave.

That is interesting. Having music anyone can sing is a concept I am familiar. It is a plain folks concept. Though, trust me some hymns are way tough to sing.

Oh crap... you know the challenges old timers have with memory...

But in a brief moment of clarity, I do recall Starwood being the type to piss on someone's leg and then try to convince them it was only raining... His record in that area is solid.

What is Ed waiting for, Daves voice isn't gonna get better the longer he waits. his vocals on the tour were mediocre, he always has been mediocre live. Maybe they are trying to help Dave look less "prancey" on stage. Bottom line: if the album comes out, it will be praised as the BEST thing ever by VH fans, Dave is always given a wide berth. And all the people who hate Ed, despise him will do their about face. Maybe the background vocals are an issue too. How are they going to pipe Mike in on new songs? This isn't VH, it's a new version of VH.

That's about as much information as we are going to get from VH I guess
