I noticed the concession stands at the show were selling ADKOT CDs.

Wonder if those sales are factored in.

It's beyond ripe for them to release these CVH concerts on dvd.

Why this isn't being done (legalities? ownership rights?) is just beyond me.

The fact that the word gets out to tens of millions couldn't hurt.

OK I'm convinced this poll is inaccurate because it doesn't state the time frame for the albums sold. I actually picked 5 million, only to read a little further down in the discussion that my prediction was foolish. And maybe that's true. But I was thinking in terms of what "Van Halen Self Titled" has done NOW! Diamond status album. I don't know how many years ahead I was thinking, but...

What I'm saying is many different people would have voted on this thread with many different time frames in mind.

I was thinking in terms of the length of the tour.

I mean, I suppose I could take a longer view in terms of, say, how many sold by the year 2025, but I'll probably be dead by then and not care as much.

Well I am convinced it's got Neil Young Stayin' Power. 500,000!

365,000 physical sales? Surely that number doesn't include digital sales, Shirley.

The combined tally must be well over a million units, factoring in the iTunes and Amazon $4.99 sales - plus point of purchase sales of the album at the shows.

Comprehensive sales not able to move a half a million units...not a proposition I would have placed a bet on...figured there would be at least a half million people worldwide who would buy a new Van Halen album with Roth singing.

Well Lars had a point. Never saw this Affecting a band like this. Internet really strangled the industry on most levels, Napster was really the mark of the beast. Would have bet it all that it be no less than Gold even in the present state of music.

I can't believe how many people don't even know about it after Feb Press. I have talked to sheep and typical fans ignorant to its existence. I even gave a copy to an FBI friend bout 50, had no clue it was out.

Shame. Release Blood & Fire as next single in video format that is a MUST See and make a Fucking news event out of it for buzz. Get hr permit and shut down Sunset in front of old Gazzaris lipsync BnF while holding instruments n roll out small kit for Al, one cut BAM!!!! Then mix up with old n new classic footage , a New Video people will seek out from the spectacle.....

That's the sad state of rock today. You have to cop out to the reality TV instant celeb dipshit trailer trash publicity stunts going 'viral' (God I hate that word) to get any press or buzz these days.

Al should have punched out Roker when he had the chance.

These sells represent the U.S. only. I am sure that wordlwide is has sold well over a half million.
