Thank you...it wasn't nearly as loud as it used to be. I heard a few years back they have a marshall of some kind with a tool that tells how loud bands are...and tells them to turn down. Maybe it has some shit to do with the venue now...or bullshit lawsuits...but they were MUCH FUCKIN LOUDER

If VH ever reunites with hagar (and it is possible) you enjoy the show DLRBridge. I see what's going on with some on this site. Whatever. For the true die hard DLR fans (that means the folks who realize how good his solo career was too), I wish you guys the best. DLR won't be around forever and might not be fronting VH much longer either. The music business at that level is very volatile. Roth is truly one of the greatest frontmen in rock history. Just because we love Dave doesn't mean we have to like the smell of his farts. It is perfectly acceptable for a die-hard Roth fan to voice criticisms of Dave when appropriate. Doesn't mean we still don't love the guy and aren't humongous fans. Once we get to the point of not being able to see anything we don't like with what he does we become nothing more than mindless sheep.
A lot of people didn't like the bluegrass, or Vegas show era, or radio show, or hell...even some things he does on tour with Van Halen. But the important thing is we still love him and 98% of what he does. But it's fine to point out & discuss that 2% as well. For one thing, true die hard DLR fans have been on this site for the last fucking 10 years, at least. Beating on trolls, and bashing each other when things were bad in the VH world. When I first signed on here a little over a year ago, I was surprised by how many people were disappointed with the Diamond Dave cd. I love a good 85% of that disc, but in no way would I hold it against anyone if they thought it was a clunker.
Rothone, my initial problem with the tone of your post is that the very essence of it is what made me quit visiting the VHND message board! There was always someone imposing the unwritten rule that a true Van Halen fan would be a fan of the band no matter who was singing. I called bullshit on that and quit. I didn't need a fellow post'er pontificating that I must feel the same as him in order to be considered a loyal fan! I can't help but parallel you with some folks from over there who clearly don't get how the whole 'opinion' thing works. Believe me when I tell you (opening line from my favorite Dave/VH unreleased song) my loyalties lie with a Roth lead Van Halen, warts and all!Comment
