Las Vegas was my first time seeing the band. I've been wanting to see them forever. My only disappointment was with the crowd in 215. Not the whole section. But a good chunk sat the whole time. Except when they played Jump. It seemed the whole crowd was standing except the people around us. I wasn't sitting while Van Halen was on stage rocking. Some guy 2 rows behind us started yelling for us to "SIT THE FUCK DOWN". Sorry if i shocked you when i told you to stand the fuck up or shut your fuckin mouth. But i'd had enough by then. It kinda put a damper on the whole show. If you want to sit go see Elton John.

I saw them on 2/28 on the first Madison Square Garden date and they kicked absolute ass. It was also the last date that Dave used the headset and it actually broke in the middle of Trouble With Never and he was pissed like "Oh you fucker, don't do this to me." he then got his handheld mic and stand and it stayed that way for the whole tour!

However, the only thing that was "bad" about the show was the dickhead fake fans. Fuck them. There was this group of hypocritical douchebags sitting by me that were going CRAZY when they opened with You Really Got Me/Running With The Devil suddenly said "oh that's bullshit, I'm outta here" when they did Tattoo. They left, and DIDN'T come back. And some fans were (if you can believe this) BOOING and raising the middle finger to the band after they did Tattoo. I don't give a damn if you hate that song, but it is immensley disrespectful to boo them let alone flip them the bird. Then AFTER the show, I had the displeasure of arguing with some fucking The Situation wannabe on the train back to Long Island that was litterally screaming at the top of his voice. "FUCK THAT LITTLE BITCH KID WOLFIE!!! AND FUCK THAT FAGGOT DAVID LEE ROTH!! WHERE THE HELL IS SAMMY AND MICHAEL ANTHONY?" I almost punched that little Jersey Shore fucker in the face. You sat through a 1hr:45min concert of pure Classic Van Halen and at the end you say "fuck dave! wheres sammy?" Some disgusting fans do NOT appreciate VH at all.

        Here's to you, douchebags.

Gotta say....I was at MSG on 2/28 and the crowd in my section was so lame....N.Y. city kids who were just there to be there....most of em' left before the show finished....had one dude next to me who nursed 1 beer the entire show!!! I went back on 3/1 and the crowd in my section was great.....loud and rowdy and as much as 2/28 kicked ass....3/1 was even better!!! I wish I could have seen them play that ass kicking jam they have been busting out in the middle of Unchained but no complaints. 3/1 @ MSG was the first time they opened with Unchained and the first time they played Full Bug and it was the first full night headset free so that more than makes up for it. My only complaint about this tour is that they're not playing MSG tonight!!!!

I was at 2/28 pretty close on the floor and the overall vibe for me was that everyone was going ape shit. So damn glad I didn't encounter any of the fools you guys just mentioned.

Nice....yea, it was probably just a case of being in a lame section. I thought overall the crowd was great both nights. I had a young couple in front of me on 2/28....kind of felt bad for the dude....you could tell he was really trying to walk a fine line between really enjoying the show and still being able to take the chick home who he was with and get laid at the end of the night. She spent the show looking at her damn I- phone. In the end....40 minutes into the show, they split. Dude should have manned up.

                Dave's Voice

Been to a few live shows. Texxas Jam 78, 79, Midland TX 79, Van Hagar 86 (Cotton Bowl- OK don't count). Do I need to re-post the crowd shot of me and my Buds at 78 Jam in front of the crowd? Fast forward a few decades 22 June 2012 San Antonio AT&T center.

Don't get me wrong...we loved the show but Dave sounded like he had his nuts in a vice. Terrible...but forgivable.. We love VH.

Had to say it....Still feel the love.

If VH played nothing but old hits they'd still pack arenas ---- if they only played ADKOT you would only hear crickets chirping.
And that's really a shame. Recently Alex Lifeson of Rush said they'll do most of their new album on their upcoming tour. But I guess it's just a different crowd for that band that appreciates new music. It also doesn't hurt that Rush give three hour shows so there's still plenty of time for the hits.

I'd love to hear more ADKOT songs, namely You and Your Blues, As Is and HBSD. I never understood this mentality of wanting to live in a safe musical bubble, afraid to hear anything new.

My only disappointment is that I was supposed to be front row in NJ last night having my face blown off by Van fuckin Halen and instead I was baking a cake. Sad all day. No disappointments at any of the shows I attended. That was pure happiness!!!

Besides no Saskatchewan dates, my disappoint is no new youtubes to watch tonight.

My room-mate is in a foul mood, so I'm hanging out in my room...with the damn gospel tent revival across the street. Grrr...

No european shows. They never play europe. Is it too wet? No, there's no money in it I guess. The trip to Toronto was well worth it in March though.

I agree. I mean, Asia but not Europe??? What the hell! But I guess they wouldn't be able to sell out any big arenas here.

How many USA rock bands have fanbases in Europe strong enough to pack arenas though? Metallica is the only one that comes to mind though I guess there are others. Japan historically loves heavy arena rock acts so I'm not surprised VH is heading there before they consider Europe.

Not many at all. They wouldn't be able to fill the Globe here in Sweden. But they could play in much smaller venue. They don't have to play in the Globe. Whitesnake played in a very small place.
