Wow, Dave actually does remember (most of) the lyrics to this song! Perhaps he figured he'd dare to be different and actually sing it correctly!

The version above was from Osaka. But you're right, he was way off in Tokyo...

Fantastic show. That little bit of reverb on Dave's voice does the trick. He stretches his vocal bluesyness a bit further with a touch of jape on the mic.

He clearly dodged the headless body in a topless bar line. Seemed more intentional than a "forgot the f'n words" moment. Wonder why the switch up. He sang it a little better than usual.

That version of Mean Street gave me the fucking chills at the break down.

I usually skip past YRGM. Glad I didn't! Nice three twins jam session at the request of Dave!

"I think Dave's vocals in these Japanese shows are fine, particulary Tokyo. Not what they were in 2007/08 or during his heyday, but considering his age he's doing a good job. And keep in mind that youtube doesn't tell the real story. In Sydney, Dave sounded really good from 5m away and after the show everyone I was with was talking about what a great performance it was from the whole band, including Dave. Then I saw some youtube footage and it doesn't do it justice."

And you know with that stage setup from the 84 tour it must have been LOUD as hell!!
