Uuuh, bad example. The only one I hate more then Gene Simmons is Nikki Sixx. Other then being a money-grabbing salesman, Gene is also grand. He ornaments him self, he is a show off. It's hard to explain what I mean in english, but he acts like the pope (in a negative way, pope is gross). And I can't stand that. I refuse to wear sunglasses, just to oppose the grandiosity. What happend to being humble and simple, and not asking for too much??
It's not just people with money that have this need to decorate themselves to show off. It all depends on the individual.
About having your own money and not being dependent on handouts, I'd also like that :D

I think people take Gene too seriously. I always found his shameless do it for the money promotion amusing. Not too many people would be able to pull of what he did. Most people wouldn't have the gusto or would screw it up somehow. Gene pulled it off and it's show business to one extent and just business on another. What you have to remember if Gene got the women he claimed he was banging everything. In fact, Ace Frehley said Gene would bang anything. LOL! It's a novelty. I mean how many people have made a life long career out of doing what Gene does? It's amusing.

You can learn something from everyone. If anything Gene teaches a good work ethic. A lot of people fail just because they didn't put the work into it. What I've learned is people really are their own worst enemy. People screw themselves more than anyone else has screwed them. So many people screw themselves because they fear failure or just use it as the excuse not to follow through with it. Gene might be creepy but at least the man knows how to plan and carry it out.

When I went to like 7th grade, I got really fascinated with calligraphy, I pratcticed writing that whole summer. It would have been smarter if I spent that summer selling stuff. Unfortunatelly I am not like that, and you can't change your personality. I would be better off though.
