Yes, but as much as most would hate to admit it, at least a Van Hagar song has made at least a few women hot...Something I doubt "Tom Sawyer", "Red Barchetta" or any other babble coming from the lyrics of Rush has ever accomplished.

Even though you don't like Alex you have to give credit where credit is due. Just like a lot of people don't like Shaq, Kobe etc. you have to give them credit for being some hellafied players, same with Al!

We all know his solos sucks but all around skill, come on!
And as far as his over sized kit goes many a drummer back then emulated his setup! Just like they tried to emulate Eddies stlye of playing and of course Daves screams & jumps!!

You know how it goes guys? What does the manager, record company exc. say to the band when they see something that's popular.

That's what I love about classic VH. They came out original from front to back! I've seen on here b4 where someone said Dave copied off someone? PLEASE! I don't know of anyone doing 12 ft jumps off of drum kits or standing straight kicks or doing martial arts move with a sword.
