He needs an act because without one he's a balding 60 year old man standing on a large empty stage with a guy on each side who are pretty stationary smilers doing twenty 4 minute long songs about sex half of which have breakdowns in which if he does them the original way is just weird at this point. "Ease the seat back" sounds more like something to help with the backpain than a seduction.

He can't be jumping 10 feet in the air any more and he can't sell on a sex angle so he's doing the song and dance man routine.

No carrot. What we want is for Dave to care about the legacy. To care about how he is performing the songs. He doesn't have to perform them exactly as they are on the albums. He never has. But he does need to stay in the same range as the originals. He does need to stop that lame high register crap. There are spots on the live album that prove he can do it. That is what is so frustrating. He is choosing to sound like shit on some of these songs.

It seems to be almost always the verses? I wonder if he thinks it's all about the chorus so it's fine to play with the verses to 'keep it fresh'.

going against wraffy is about as shit tastic as Von being a webmaster of a site he can't stand to be a part of.

If you think I can't stand to be a part of this site, then your dumbness isn't an act. I love this site. I love this band. I just refuse to accept less than mediocrity out of them, when they have the ability to give so much more. Dave is the weak link right now. When Ed was all messed up on whatever he was on, he was the weak link, and I chastised him for it. The difference is, Ed recognized it, and did something about it. Dave doesn't seem to have the ability to do that. He could if he wanted to.
