Somebody posted earlier, it was the same chick both shows doing the " random " fan from the crowd bit...thats just how fuckin mind fucked Vh is..to try to pull that shit as a complete spur of the moment deal..and NOBODY connected to the band said it was a stupid idea and not to do it..

I had to go sit down in another room and weep a bit... after viewing those fine ladies in the vid,.. and I haven't listened to GGB in years....all better now.

Ok, Here how it go..... I figured if Ellen was going to bring VH on and deliver a extra vid on her site I should at least sit thru her whole show and be involved.

It was like Jerry Springer but without talented guests and interesting situations.

Nah it was ok...I do feel a need to wash the gay off me I think I contracted due to being exposed for so long, but I also am afraid to be naked with myself due to the gay thing I mentioned earlier in this sentence.

Good show ok times.

I'm giving credit where it's due. After watching all the DVRred (sp?) stuff, the extras on YouTube, all the footage from this week, I've come to a conclusion.

Ed's got his shit together.

I apologize for calling him a washed-up alcoholic piece of shit. I was wrong. He's playing his ass off, he looks genuinely happy, and I may consider seeing them this summer.

I don't care much one way or the other but the dumb part of it is for Dave to pretend for 20 seconds to be telling her what to do.

Not convincing the first time, second time it's silly.

It's undeniable though that it worked with the live audience both times. If he did it every night on a tour though it would start to look like mental illness.

Interesting aside the magician Penn Jillette says that the way to always spot a plant in the audience is that they always make a big deal about trying to work out how to get on and off the stage to 'act realistic' whereas a real audience member has no trouble because real people are all perfectly able to walk up and down a small set of steps without making a fuss.

Back to my doom and gloom. Apologies, but I get the sense that Dave is pushing out further with the "it's all about Dave " thing that helped torpedo the band before. I hear him talking about himself while stepping further out in front of the band and I swear I saw Ed shoot him a stink eye when he did. It was just a moment but I've seen that look before. I think Dave's ego is getting the best of him. That planted chick from the audience reeks of Roth style showbizz and it's coming off as cheesy. He ain't foolin anybody.
Ed has got his shit together and is playing like a beast and Dave is subjecting him to this? Bad performance and cheap vaudeville?
I see the possibility of a catastrophic meeting if roth doesn't reign himself in or get reigned in somehow.
The bad vocals are understandable back when he was doing jumps, kicks, trampoline antics etc.etc. but now he is wiggling around the stage like some old gay Broadway choreographer ( the only thing missing is a yellow neck scarf) "all that jazz" anyone?
And the vocal choices he making are bordering on insane.
I'm a Dave supporter but If I wouldnt put up with this , I don't see how Ed is gonna.
The worst thing is I'm starting to see is these horrible vocal runs reocurring in the same sections of the same songs like this is how Dave is singing these parts ON PURPOSE.

I saw on Bart Walshs facebook page someone said(paraphrasing). "Hey Bart, I think Dave needs to rehearse more with the band. He sounds a little loose. Bart replied " oh it IS rehearsed!"

By your age you should know by now things like this have been apart of VH/Daves shtick since day one! Remember the "Bring the cameras out" "I'm going to F your girlfriend pal" "We're recording this for a radio interview" etc
