That's a lot of things to read for a person with ADD like me... Here's my take on DAVE... He stands for everything that is good in the world(Screamin' Guitars, Bikinis, and Fast Cars), and ALWAYS lives life to the fullest. The things that I believe in is what Dave embodies. Loud music, fast cars, faster women... Party HARD, rock HARD, work HARD, THAT'S what dreams are made of..... except that he's a multi-millionaire, and I'm not.... haha...

              Ok, yeah, let's talk Dave...

One simple rule. You can use the questions below to get started or take this in any direction you so desire, as long as you leave it about Roth only.
              Sounds reasonable, let's do it...

              1. We all want to meet him/see him again. If he were here live and in person, and you were only allowed one question, what would you ask him?
Are we wanting the question I'd like to ASK, or the question I'd ask that I think I'd actually get an answer to? The question I'd like to ask is "With everything that's happened to date, is there any desire on your part to reunite with Van Halen?" -- The question I think I'd get an answer to is, "If you could change ONE thing about your musical career, what would that be, and why?"

              2. If Dave wanted to know why you like him, and you could only give him one reason, what would that be?
Because, so many other rockers seem to be phoney; just putting on a front. Diamond Dave doesn't seem to be that way. From everything I've seen, from everything I've read, from everyone I've talked to, Diamond' Dave is a "What you see is what you get" kinda guy.

              3. Have you actually met David Lee Roth? If so, did that change your opinion of him, and in what way?
Yes, I met him once, very briefly, after a show New Years Eve of this year. I don't say this to be negative, or offensive, but I really at least half-way expected him to be a prick, I was very pleasantly surprised to find him to be a relatively nice guy. I mean we have to take into account that by the time I'd met him, he'd spent a couple hours at the after party, having a few hundred of his "closest friends" hanging all over him, asking him for everything from autographs to God only knows what; but still, when Michelle spoke with him, he was polite, he listened to what she had to say, he gave her his full attention, looked her in the eye, at least gave the appearance that he was interested in what she had to say. I'm sure that he wanted nothing more than to get to his car and get out of there, but he was really decent. So yes, that did change my opinion of him, for the better.

              4. David has always been a very vocal person, how honest do you think he is in his interviews and book?
I think that he's completely honest. I just think that there are really two sides of Dave. There's the public Dave and the private Dave. I think that he's being completely honest, he's just only showing the public side of him. I'm certain there's another Dave that only his family and a few close friends know.

              5. What is your favorite David Lee Roth interview and why?
Hmmmm.... I don't know. It's tough to pick a particular one. They're all so entertaining in their own individual ways. I think one of my favorites would have to be one, I'm not sure where it was, I'm thinking it was at the US Festival, anyhow, it was Mark Goodman (or Goodson or whatever the heck his name was) from MTV, and he asks Dave a question, and Dave errupts into this 10 minute "Dave Rant", it was so funny, the look on Mark's face as Dave just "went"...

              6. What do you see David doing next?
Well, I don't see him becoming a full-time professional EMT, I can see him continuing to do his live shows with his band, and very possibly a Morning radio show (maybe Arrow 93.1? :D) He did that as a fill-in a few months back, and I thought did an excellent job.

              7. Here is one for the old timers. Did any of you ever see Mammoth or Red Ball Jets. (remember, only Roth comments allowed)
              Nope, never saw either.

              8. If you had to admit that Dave had ever fucked up in his life, what would you say was his biggest mistake?
What was Dave's biggest mistake? Hmmm... that's really a tough call, mainly because Dave is so good at making lemonade out of whatever lemons life throws his way. Also, figure that what we as fans view as a mistake Dave may have planned to happen that way all along.

              9. If you could switch places with the Diamond one for one week, and one week only, would you, and what would you do for that week?
I think it would be interesting, but I think that it would take that long just to figure out what the hell was going on. Plus, keep in mind, you said "switch places with..." which means that Dave is living YOUR life... which could have some interesting ramifications all on it's own.

              10. Whatever the hell else you want to talk about that has to do with *** you guessed it*** Diamond David Lee Roth.
One thing that I think would be very cool to see (some will agree with me, some will probably want to burn me as a heretic) but I think it would be totally cool, not as a perminant thing, but just for maybe a show in LA, a show in Chicago, and a show in New York or something, a show with Van Halen (Ed, Mike and Alex) and Dave, Sammy AND Gary doing vocals. Have a mix; some of Dave doing his stuff with them, some of Sammy doing his stuff, some of Gary doing III stuff, as well as some new stuff (Ed has talked about having 10 albums worth of stuff) with Dave/Sammy, Dave/Gary, and Sammy/Gary duets, as well as a couple with all three of them in a trio. I don't think it would in any way work as a perminant thing, but for a couple shows, and an album along with it, I think it would totally kick ass!!!

Parrothead. I think those are all good answers. I also would like to see that happening; and I am just stupid enough to believe it could. One big happy family reunion. Boy the fireworks afterwards would be something too!

Yeah, I think we're all realistic enough to realize that there's no way in hell that those personalities would all play nice for a permanent arrangement, or probably even a full tour, but like three or four shows, (probably actually better on all fronts, recorded for a live album, rather than a studio album to go with it) I think that is a possibility.

Anything is a possiblity, but now when you start looking at the probability...ah hell. Its possible.

Here is whats sad. 310 views, 38 posts. I guess most people on this site would rather talk about "current events" than David Lee Roth.

#9. scary thought about Dave taking over your life while you take are taking his place. I think I will have to rephrase that one.

New # 9. If you could be Dave's shadow for a week...what do you think would be the highlight of that week.

I think the HIGHLIGHT of that week would be meeting SO MANY DAVID LEE ROTH fans. DAVE has the most dedicated fans in rock. I bet it would be a gas to meet so many people in so many different places that appreciate DAVEs music and wit. It's gotta be a BLAST when EVERYWHERE you go people stop you and tell you a story 'bout what your music means to their life.

Matt. After spending a great deal of time on this site, and getting to know some of you a little better...

There are some of you I would just love to meet. That would be a blast.

There are others of you that just scare the crap outta me. Kinda makes you understand why stars have body guards. In order for me to do number nine, triple the security... Theres some freaking weirdos out there. :D

Hey Chelle, thanks for resurecting this baby.

David Lee Roth is one of the last great frontmen in rock with few equals during his VH days because of his showmanship & bad ass attitude while I don't think there will ever be another reunion of the original Van Halen after the 96 debacle but he's still rocking after all these years like the rock legend that he is since what came after him has been lame.
