Actually... this tour was to HELP Ed and AL get back UP to the task and back into shape... get the juices flowing again... They both look great! The BOBW release was to get the music out there again and get people interested in THIS tour and get then interested in a ROTH tour as well.... The best music Eddie has written has been saved for Daves good graces... and the final Van Halen tour... The Fairwell Tour.

I never said Eddie had lost it! And I was the first one that said that Sammy was NOT back in the band... He was simply touring with them to promote the album...

People have wanted to see THE VAN HALEN they know and love and from what I'm hearing that iswhat is in the game plan before they retire the band Van Halen once and for all. I dont think there is anything wrong with the Dave or the gravers celebrating this if and when it finally materializes, afterall, it what they have wanted all along. Going to the show, and seeing it with their own eyes bad or good, will have made all the wiating worth while. It's Van Halen! Anything is possible! I'm just telling ya what I was told. I believe it, wether or not you do, is up to you...I'm not twisting any arms...

The ONLY thing that would lead me to believe that a DLR/VH reunion is still possible is that the sisters already know what it it would mean for them financially. When they're completely out of options, and they're pretty close now, they might say yes to Dave, but I hope Dave tells 'em to fuck off!

I'm a Dave fan all the way but I'm really not interested in watching these guys fumble and limp around for $100. If it were 1996 I'd still be interested but the moment has passed. Will always dig classic Van Halen and the output from 1974 (via boots) and 1978-1984 on both official releases and boots.

Legendary band, No doubt about it.

1996 could have been a promising rebirth for the band........but we all know how that one went.

Can't say I'm gonna care too much about classic Van Halen reuniting at this point unless quality new material results from it. A long shot at best that any contemporary live work from the same will measure up to their own standards set two decades + ago.

Gonna take a lot more than an oldies tour for old times sake to get me to shell out nickel one to see it just to say "I was there".

And if the proposed classic reunion is undertaken with the same half-assed attitude that this year's Sam Halen reunion is saturated with, I'll stay as far away from it as possible.

That's bullshit. If you're a Dave fan, you're gonna go see him no matter what band he's fronting, and especially if the band he's fronting is Van Halen. All I can say about all this "Oh they're too old" crap is hey, if the Rolling Stones can still do it, anything is possible with the Classic Van Halen lineup!
