    Sorry.

    I'll rehab it.

I am sure it was over sensitive gesture from my part due to the plebeian roust about to my learned perception and understanding of golf.

    My bad.

        exactly
Even I, who does not play cheated. I went up and dropped a ball in the 18th hole at the National and did not ask permission.
        Wild times I tell you!

Yea, when I play goofy golf. I just quit counting after the double digits come into play.

I will admit it. I learned of golf in a bit of a skewed way. I did not even know of the golf tournament at the Augusta National until some tourist pointed it was the big weekend and this incredible player of golf, Tiger. I had never seen such restrained passion from a person watching a game. It was interesting. I still did not have a lot of interest in golf until my years at the National. I do not know much more of the game out side of the National and the Heritage, a relaxed game after the National.

However, while at the National and being given the fortune to see Amen Corner through a full moon rising and contemplating the reverence of the National itself during that time, stirred me.
Yes, the national also has all kinds, cantankerous and just men. Nevertheless, in America it holds the meaning of golf to me and to many others. Until you have experienced the National in person, you cannot understand this respect.

None of which proves the existence of any sort of "integrity" of the game....

                It's a game. Barely a "sport"

One's integrity lies in themselves, not what game/sport they choose to play.

You can call a game like pool one of geometry but call golf one of integrity? Golf to me is the rich man's wasting disease in where those who can afford to play it on a daily basis are assholes by believing hitting a small white ball into a round hole hundreds of yards away somehow makes them a better person. Back in high school I briefly dated a guy who worked on a golf course which was more or less one of those "country clubs" where idle rich neurosurgeons and trial lawyers would spend their time telling racist jokes and openly disusing their patient/client situations back and forth to each other while treating the staff like absolute shit. Now where is the "integrity" in that? The film Caddyshack acutely portrayed what pricks most golfers with money really are.

Now if you have loads of free time on your hands and can get good as in real good knocking the ball around you can make millions while being "integral" at a sport that, until Woods came along, was more or less a Saturday afternoon reason to take a tap while watching it. Nobody took to Woods because he made the game more interesting or less lethargic but because he didn't fit the golf stereotype of white pot-belied men with bad comb-overs wearing ugly plaid-colored slacks. Woods took the game to a different level in that he broke down all those untalked about racial (and somewhat misogynistic) barriers that existed so long in that er...sport. That's what really put his name on the map more than his playing and in the process people, i.e., the media looked to him as some sort of unflawless demigod. Like I said, no one could believe he spent his off hours chasing Vegas gold diggers and surgically-enhanced b-models while being a married man. Oh no, he was supposed to have "integrity" remember? That word doesn't exist in that mundane sport and never will. Woods himself knows that better than anybody else.

I would like to apologize - sincerely apologize - for the pain which my mis-placed joke may have caused Tiger Woods, his wife, and the multiple ho's his been putting from the rough with.

I only hope that in time God, Tiger, Mrs. Tiger, and the said ho's can forgive me, but most of all I hope that I can forgive myself.

Perhaps then I can get back to being the poster I always hoped I can be and bring the integrity to posting which I have always aspired to bring. Perhaps then, and only then, can I fight my addiction for humour - but none of you know how addictive laughter can be.

I always thought the 2 biggest waste of natural resources were Golf Courses and Cemeteries....

                          Why not combine the 2?

Start planting grandma on the back 9.

Imagine the new found difficulties of having to play the lie next to that granite tombstone?

Sand traps could be more fun. Dig too deep and you'll expose uncle Sid.

Gives a whole new meaning to the term play 'em where they lie

I always thought adding some physical violence into the sport would make it more interesting....like tackling in football
