They are from 50 to 200. Pretty reasonable.....wait for the VH ticket prices. Without Mikes backups and given the old age burnout factor , Id would rather spend 200 bucks on the Police than VH.I got a feeling this (vh tour) will be underwhelming.
Following sell-out shows in Vancouver and Montreal, the Police Tour Fan Club is delighted to confirm that additional nights will be added in both cities.
The additional dates are:
30 May GM Place, Vancouver
26 Jul Bell Centre, Montreal
They are playing Bonaroo Festival here in Tennessee in June.
Damn....I am not gonna spend the time to wait in traffic for 10 hours just so I can go to a festival like that to see them.
Looks like I will not be seeing them. Too bad they are not playing someplace in Gnashville....
Amazing what a competent promotion team can do (as opposed to a drunk and a porn star)
The Police quickly sell out stadium shows By Ray Waddell
Tue Feb 27, 2:07 AM ET
NASHVILLE (Billboard) - The Police reunion tour is fast becoming the hottest concert ticket of the year.
The rock trio sold out shows in Denver, Seattle and Oakland over the weekend, and Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. and Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium Monday.
On Saturday, Pepsi Center in Denver sold out, with a second show added (June 9-10); a second show has also been added to the Key Arena stop in Seattle (June 6-7).
McAfee Stadium in Oakland sold out Sunday at 48,000 tickets. Giants Stadium sold out Monday at 56,000 tickets, as did Dodger Stadium at 52,000.
A second Montreal show went on sale Monday and is expected to sell out quickly (July 25-26).
The group's first tour in more than two decades begins May 28 in Vancouver. Also newly confirmed is the anchor date for the second leg of the outing, November 8 in Toronto, joining a previously announced July 22-23 stand in the city.
The Police is my favorite band besides VH. I get tix tomorrow, on-line presale for Dallas. Son of a ... Ya know, it's funny because you have on one of the spectrum the Police and on the other Van Halen. It almost, to me anyway seems like the Police fellas have been keeping up their chops tight as fuck over the years and as a result the reunion isn't that huge of a challenge to get off the ground when lift off is upon. Then with VH, Dave had a couple down years but he really never quick giggin' and singin' all together. Not tot say that Ed and co. did but they defiintley had periods of inactivity and Ed's retardedness surely didn't help this band get the show on the road. Wolfie might be a blessing to this band. Give EVH the motherfucking kick in the ass he needs son....wait I was talking 'bout the PoPo befo'. Shit, never type and hit the bottle. What can I say.(momentary chillapse for the bong)
Andy Summer is incredible. The tones, the riffs that you need bigass spidery links to hit. What a strummer. I am so fucking excited about seeing the Police. Godamn! I said Godamn! Mmhhmm. To hear Bring On The Night live by the og crew is gonna start my summer off right. I only hope I can end it with at least havin' VH/DLR tix in hand. Then duece double O seven summertime will be a slamdunk smackbottom kick in the pants good time!
