That's crazy. I was together for 3 years with a bass player. Guys I've slept with that I had NO idea played bass turned out to be bass players. It didn't happend just like once or twice. It happends constantly. I think 70% of the guys I have been with were bass players.

I has less to do with the instrument and more to do with the Type of person that chooses to play said instrument. You just get along with the bass player "Type" more than the "Drummer" (Caveman) type or the "Guitar player" type.

Bass players tend to be more confident in themselves. A lot of them start off as guitarists but someone has to play the bass and they are the ones who pick up the torch because the job needed to be done and they don't have a insecure ego to feed. A lot of the times the bass player is the smart one in the group and tends to have less problems and handles their money better too.
