    Gore/Edwards '08??

This could be a great combination....

Gore, the rightful winner of the 2000 election, watching the presidency that should have been his rip the country apart, and eventually coming out swinging against the BCE in a way that only the man robbed by them could do.

Gore is the man to point out everything wrong with America right now because of the BCE.

Edwards compliments this message with his "two Americas" theme. For those of you who haven't heard his speech on the subject, he sees "two Americas" as a bad thing, and wants to get back to ONE country.

Both of these guys know how the DLC shit machine works and both have walked away from it, mostly due to the DLC's sickening performance in their previous campaigns. Edwards was reportedly furious when Kerry abdicated Ohio, and didn't agree with the decision by any stretch of the imagination.

So....... thoughts on a Gore/Edwards ticket anyone?

Didn't Bush win the last election with a record # of votes? Thought so, next question.

Voting for Chimpy may have been our mistake, but your faith in your party is yours.
You actually believe that the Democratic Party is free of corruption?
You think it will all just go away the moment a Democrat wins back the White House?
That means you believe that until 2000 there wasn't any corruption at all in Washington, eh?

You gullible, power hungry trolls...You are so lost up your own asses you burp Charmin.
If you had even half a brain you'd be calling for both the Repubs and Dems to sit down for 4-8 years and vote to drive this country in a new direction...one that wasn't paid for by the corporations.

Hasn't several decades of the same old, same old made you see the reality in front of your faces?

WE need to change the game plans and put OUR politicians to a higher standard than ever before.
But oh no, A failed loser like Gore with a shady double talking swine as a running mate looks more appealing to you than fair and equal leadership that represents the country as a whole?

Just like i said before, you're all socialist-commie bastards if you think things are ok as they are.
You even lump good God fearing Christians into a stereotypical batch of extremist, right wing religious freaks, and they are clearly not the same people.
Hell, you even think a terrorist is justified in his killing as long as a Republican is in office. after all, you blame the Republicans for them all.

Fucking Idiots, the whole damned lot of ya....

See y'all next Thursday, so have a nice productive week and keep towing that herd... you're lost without each other bleating all over the damn place.

I agree with Cat on this...

it's time to start looking for an actual change...

I don't have time, nor care for ripping up potential candidates like Gore and Edwards...

Gore...well...if there is an ass in the democratic party, it's him.

Edwards...I have lots of thoughts on Edwards...but will hold off on all of them until he starts making his run in '08...and he will...

There are lots of directions that this election COULD run...

but as long as we're happy with the fucking retreads that pop up every four years...

then this country will continue fucking down the treacherous path of disagreement...

perhaps someone will figure out that the BEST presidents were the ones that actually realized there are good ideas across the board...just not one one side of it...

it's been a long fucking time since we've had one...and unfortunately...will probably be a long fucking time until we get one...

let's just hope that WE smarten up before we end up running this country into the cunthole of hell...

We're simply not going to have a viable third party in position to win in 2008.

I chose Gore and Edwards - and this IS a strictly hypothetical discussion - for the very reason that they have seen their party's establishment, and in fact both were SCREWED by the establishment in their various roles in the last 2 campaigns. And I believe they're serious about changing the WRONG direction this country has been going for a while, but especially the last 5 years.

Howard Dean remains my ideal candidate, but he said he was sitting this one out.

Bottom line is there is no campaign yet, I'm just looking for ideas about where we go to put this country back together, and I thought this was as good of a place to jump in as any.

Like I said...I can't imagine Gore being taken serious by anyone on either aisle for many...many reasons...

Edwards has always been an enigma to me...

He's a guy who came to politics late in life, but came to politics for the right reasons...

problem with Edwards is that...whether he agrees or disagrees with what Kerry did...he's forever connected to Kerry...

and Kerry is, without a doubt...someone who should NEVER, EVER be taken seriously as a presidential candidate...

he has talked about reaching across the aisle...and quite frankly...never...ever will...

I'm just sick and tired of both the neo-con right wing bullshit...and the far leftist crap that centers on the others sucking crank...

frankly...if neither side can see ANYTHING good in the other side is the fundamental reason why this fucking country can't get on track across the board. It is feasible for grown men with different views of the world to be able to see SOMETHING worthwhile from those very different views...in particular...if it ACTUALLY HELPS THE COUNTRY...

My point simply being...is we need a candidate with a solid agenda...that's not so fundamentally rooted in the simple fact that they despise the other side...

Gore? Are you or anyone else going to tell me that he's NOT that person? This bitter fuck would be lame duck from day one...no matter how you spin it...and would be the death knell of the democratic party...

Edwards?...I think that you could still look at him as a viable candidate for the dems for many reasons...but on a ticket with Gore would place him smack in the same position as he was in last year...

As for the Republicans...we'll see...there in an interesting position right now over the next 3 years...

Like I've said...this country was most effective when the 2 party system forced each other to actually look at each other without causing the entire country to drain it's own blood while they did it. It was actually nice when a party's fucking platform was more than..."Those guys suck..."

but of course...if you don't have a platform, and the others platform his hitting bumps...well fuck...your rating points won't go up...but may skyrocket by staying the same...

                        fucking ridiculous...

                        okay...enough ranting about this horseshit...

And I could give a shit about a viable third party candidate...

                          It's like anything else...

when a major party realizes that fresh views are actually a good thing...

it can become the "third party" candidate...

but of course...you know what they say about change...or...heaven forbid...actually having a thought that doesn't fucking look specifically at what the other party ISN'T doing.

Everyone now is so stigmatized to be either 180 degrees opposite...or worse yet...NOWHERE with ideas...

that gone are the days when someone says, "yeah, that would work, but here's how it can be improved..."

It's always, they're wrong...and it HASN'T always been that way...

while the other party is busy creating a platform based soley on hating the president.
