    The only people that live in Scotland in what could be described as being poverty in my opinion are those with chronic self inflicted drug problems.

    People can be technically living in poverty with a car, a couple of TVs and a PC since it is just based on a percentage of average income. To me that's not poverty. Everyone gets somewhere to live, food etc and free medical care. The worst off are asylum seekers but they are still given much more than someone in rural India could dream of getting through work.

      Not everyone can afford cars though. There's people on the streets too even if it's far less than a poor nation. I've seen people with pc's but their flat was literally crumbling into pieces.
