I'd gladly give up my SS benefits if they'd stop charging me for them right this instant.

Otherwise, why should I refuse to receive my own money back if I paid into the system for (presumably) 50 years?

I dunno...between pondering whether Mary Ann or Ginger would be the better lay and trying to figure out how that guy surf-boarded into the lagoon during a tsunami yet managed to leave in the same fashion, my mind pretty much turned into tapioca pudding. Yet roughly forty years later, there I am watching fucking LOST on ABC, which oddly enough, made a great deal more sense.

When you reach retirement age, let's just use 70 years old as a target, are you seriously telling everyone that you're so anti-government that you will be refusing Social Security and Medicare benefits?

Perhaps your parents are of that age right now, do they?

In Theatrical terms it's called the "suspension of disbelief"....you're not even supposed to question it. Y'know, like religion!
