I don't think blacks voting for Obama makes them racist. I think it's more complexed then that.
If I was black in usa I'd vote for him too. Aren't black people there in general poorer and have lower status jobs then whites? In general.
Romney said he didn't care about those people. If the other guy was an eskimo they'd probably vote for him too.

Instead, he said, he would concentrate on the 5 - 10% Independents in the middle.

If i were you, I wouldn't rely on your newspapers or magazines to explain American politics to you, either liberal or conservative. Buy a good book(s).

I appreciate your response, but I do have to disagree when you said "cause his politics are in their interest." They may think that, but they're really not. Relying on the government is in nobody's interest and neither is a high unemployment rate nor a vastly increasing national debt.

Nobody wants to rely on the goverment, everybody would want to be a millionaire if they could choose. But we can't all be millionaires, can't we. But there is no point in discussing, we won't convince each other. Ones fundamental values are hard to move.

It's going to be interesting to see what the Obama justice department has to say about these new state pot laws. I think the feds are going to stomp them out. Which brings us to an important subject. States rights vs. the federal government. We've let the feds get too powerful.

As long as the pot is grown within that state's borders, the feds should have no say in the matter. As long as it isn't an interstate commerce issue.

These are the issues all of us need to be concerned with and I think are being overlooked.

That asshole might not want to walk out in the open in New York City or New Jersey after what he said. Unbelievable. I think if we used all the technology we have access to wisely and managed our resources better, the average person could live a pretty high lifestyle. Most of the scarcity is engineered. If you travel, you will see people living on some of the most unproductive land thriving and then you will see some people living on some great land living in poverty. The difference is how corrupt the leadership is and how productive the people are. You have to have good leadership and people who are willing to get educated and work. If you have those two things, a society can do amazing things.
