What are your interests? The medieval to renaissance period where Catholic priests were allowed to marry and even have sex with girlfriends? A Pope even had 100++ illegitimate children. Most of what we're sold as "traditional marriage" is a modern construct, even the diamond ring thing is bullshit made up by diamond countries in the late 19th century...

He was a rebellious rich kid that hung in Detroit and was clever enough to market himself. Not exactly dumb. Dumb is believing he’s something more than a self-promoter. I mean the guy named himself after crack cocaine and all these evangelicals think he’s this benevolent patriot. He’s a guy from Michigan running the Ted Nugent play book. He’s riding the patriotism bandwagon and getting rich as fuck doing it.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Anyways you have the Magatards and the Libtards all pointing the finger at each other. It gives them something to do. I was a big Lowenbrau drinker but it just kind of disappeared.Czechvar is actually one of my favourite beers, it's called Budvar in Europe long complicated story I think.
I used to drink Lowenbrau back in the 90s, don't see it here very often any more. Estrella I drink quite a often as it's on draft in a pub I go to. I didn't know you could get Hoegaarden in the US, it's usually expensive - a wheat beer. Leffe and Michelob are fine too. Stella Artois is sometimes darkly called 'Wife Beater' here due to it being strong and often pretty cheap.
Looks like they have bought up the US rights to a bunch of good European strong lagers...No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

If you wanted to ruffle less feathers you would call a gay marriage a civil union. But ruffling feathers seems to be the thing to do these days. It’s like the whole country is the Jerry Springer Show now.Who fucking cares what religious zealots think? There is a separation of church and state for a reason, and they don't get to define marriage nor inflict their beliefs on others. These same assholes support Trump, a guy that at best cheats on his wive(s) and at worst was allegedly a Jarod-like pedo rapist....
Maybe we can get the Catholic Churches feelings on Wokeness and the morality of marriage? No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

Not a fan of either's politics, but Ted Nugent has talent. Kid Cock is nothing but a marketing campaign...He was a rebellious rich kid that hung in Detroit and was clever enough to market himself. I saw Ted in 1980 back when he was the nutcase in the loin cloth. Obe of the best guitar solos I ever saw is when he hoped up behind the drummer in the middle of Wang Dang Sweet Poontang and man he played some stuff that was pretty unique. It was Ted at his best.
Yeah Ted has his classics. Double Live Gonzo! is one of the great live albums. But the rocket sauce ran out. Ted was out of good songs. He still plays decent.
Kid Rock did nothing for me. I just remember this white dude dressing like a black 70’s pimp going I’m Kid Rock! Wang dang daddy diddy whatever…
I think Vanilla Ice had more talent than Kid Rock. Ha! Ha! But when kid Rock was fading he started promoting conservative presidential candidates. Now he’s one of the MAGA mascots.Last edited by Nitro Express; 04-11-2023, 01:33 AM.No! You can't have the keys to the wine cellar!Comment

People in trailer parks sending their money to a billionaire to help him defend himself from multiple fraud allegations arising from paying off a porn actress. Half of me finds it entertaining but it's also deeply sad in a way. It's very similar to the rich evangelist preacher crooks demanding their money. We can mock those people for their ignorance falling for such an obvious scam but it's depressing that a lot of it comes from the hopelessness of the marks trying anything to change their lives, like buying a lottery ticket.Anyways you have the Magatards and the Libtards all pointing the finger at each other. Mmmm...some of that may well be true, but you'd be surprised how many of those trailer park people have NO hope of any president - including Trump - changing their lives: more of them than you might believe KNOW they are fucked and know that Trump doesn't care for them outside their votes, but Trump speaks to their concerns, gives them an entertaining show to watch and drives liberals crazy merely by being a troll that lives rent-free in their heads. Perhaps they figure if they're going down the tubes anyway, better to do so standing on their feet rallying for Trump than crying on their knees or lying flat on their backs in their trailers, and if Trump is the proverbial stick in the eye for the Woke Urban Globalist Elites Who Sold 'Murca Down The River why NOT send Trump a few bucks?People in trailer parks sending their money to a billionaire to help him defend himself from multiple fraud allegations arising from paying off a porn actress. Uh...and SOME people do not...
When it comes to the law and legal freedoms, there is no such thing as compromising. The fact of the matter is: RELIGIONS DO NOT OWN THE CONCEPT OF MARRIAGE.
So if churches do not like gay people getting married, DON'T ALLOW THEM TO DO SO IN YOUR CHURCHES. Funny thing is, this is the same ridiculous argument that was made 20 years ago. It didn't work then...and it sure doesn't work now.
There is this little thing called separation of church and state.
You can keep whatever your take on marriage is in YOUR CHURCH. You cannot take your religion and dictate to the government what constitutes marriage.
I don't believe the government has the right to tell different religions what sorts of ceremonies they must perform. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, churches CANNOT take traditions in their religion (or modern interpretations of said traditions) and impose them on legal rights.
We now (as of 2021 data) live in a country in which approximately 3 out of 10 Americans (myself included) have no religious affiliation. WE are not willing to COMPROMISE with those of religious affiliation who DO NOT recognize gay marriage by saying, "Hey, gay people...I know you want to be married too. But it's really making those who believe in Jesus but also believe in intolerance of homosexuality upset. SO, why don't you just call it a civil union to keep the bigots happy?"
No. You know why? Because you can worship a blade of grass if you want to. It's none of my business. But you can't dictate the law based on what you believe said blade of grass represents.
As of 2022, 71% of Americans (regardless of religious affiliation) stated that they are fine with gay marriage.
I cannot even believe that you're still trying these tired old arguments.Roth Army Militia

Really? The "division" is coming from those who are just asking for equal treatment? NOT from those who are pushing (more than before) to limit rights based on orientation, etc.? One party seems only concerned with drag queen storytime, trans issues (with plenty of gaslighting and lying about the truth of the legal state of many complicated questions), a non-existent caravan of criminals crossing our Southern border that is supposedly almost solely responsible for a so-called majority of our rapes, murders and our opioid crisis...and what is on cans of beer (a business decision that seems to fascinate that same party)...INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON THE ISSUES ACTUALLY AFFECTING REAL AMERICANS.
But you are claiming that it is the LEFT that is exploiting the gay population to cause division? ARE YOU REALLY ARGUING THIS WITH A STRAIGHT FACE?
Yes. It's been a tried-and-true tactic for decades...especially since Republicans became strongly aligned with the Christian right. But it's become more frightening than ever since 2015-16.
Yes, it is. And said promotion is coming from the same nuts who think John F. Kennedy Jr. is coming back to save the far-right and "restore values" that even seemed barbaric to the average Republican when Kennedy ACTUALLY DIED in 1999.
No, outside of a few far-right gays willing to appease the insecurities of bigoted Republicans, they wanted marriage and didn't want to settle for "civil unions" to appease a group of bigots who don't think they deserve the same rights and protections as straight Americans. And as of 2023, more than 70% of Americans (among them straight, LGTBQ+ and a great deal of Christians) AGREE WITH THEM.
The great majority of us are concerned with the Constitution and all Americans being protected by it. We really don't give a shit if it "agitates" less than 30% of the population.Roth Army Militia
