Is it safe to say that MANY of us are so disgusted with Ed's latest behavior (although glad to see him hating Sam again) that we pretty much think Dave would be wasting his time by working with Ed again?

I think so. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a new VH album with Dave. But right now, I'm not in the mood to have another song with Ed only on one or two cylinders and then read interview after interview of the brothers bashing Dave.

My band once played a show with a ska band at this dump in OC (the Doll Hut or some shit like that), and you had all these dumb little girls hopping around like fucking bunny rabbits to the same shit, over and over and over.. Minute we got up there, fucking place cleared out of them quick. But we're great at that.

I dont' Rikk, I think it was a stunt(see thread) Ed needed an excuse to stand up to Al and had to lay the blame off on Sam for shitty sales all the way around. I think Ed wants itwith Dave more than ever, smashing a couple a guitars was nothin'...

Hmmm. Well, we agree that it was definitely a big public statement against Sam. Hell, maybe it was a statement against that whole era!:D This is really reaching, but maybe an entire tour of playing really lame songs the fans didn't really want to hear finally got to Ed. Maybe noticing the low album sales, low attendance and loud cheers the Dave songs got finally clicked in Ed's rather inebriated head. Yes, if he cleared himself up and told Alex to take it or leave it, I would be happy as fuck if they worked it out. But Ed really needs to sober up.

Furthermore, I don't give a flying fuck if Mikey is there. That fat, mullet-wearing, tank-top wearing (familiar?:D ) Ched Head can marry Sam and play awful Waborita shows for the rest of his life. Let them get some badass bass player that can also sing well. It would make NO difference if Mikey weren't there.

Exactly!!! Right on. It has to be done for the integrity of classic VH, not to take advantage of Dave and CVH fans.

Well where do I start? First I am thankful this reuion did happen because I forgot how great a band actually can be while playing together (the show in Phoenix) back in Augus might have been one of the best Van Halen shows I have ever seen and I have seen close to 50. But after Friday night I personally will be content with Sam and Mikey. The man was shit faced around noon, when to bed woke up and drank again. He started a fight with Sam, Mike, Irving and all of us in the dressing room prior to the show. No reason just a drunked fool. Sammy turnned and looked at me and said "now you see why this is so fucking hard to do" man I do this for fun and this just isn't fun! Mikey tried ot ignore it but finally had words with Ed also. As he walked around back int he dressing rooms punching walls and rubbing a raw lemon in his eyes and all over his face wiched was drawned on with black marker (he didn't even know who did it)?
I will say this, this is the honest truth, Ed acting out was his way to tell Sammy he doesn't want him to leave. A couple of times during the figtht he would say Sam you just don't understand me and I love you man. The then would call him names and all kinds of stuff. It's like dealing with a 2 year old. I wont go into the show right now later I will. after the show, Ed left instanly and I had dinner with Mike and Sam, they both were very emotional that it was over and as we ate dinner one by one the crew came int to say so long. It was pretty intense to see how Mike and Sam care about the whole crew, Sammy gave 8 cases of signed Cabl Wabo to them and promisede one way or another they would work together again. I am in a hurry right now so I will try and put down more later.
The only good thing that was said the whole night was by Sammy "if the fucker goes into treatment for about 4 months then we can talk"!
Out side of the boys in my opionio its done!

Well, Ed probably just decided to do this tour without getting serious help. And ALEX (his own brother for fuck's sakes) and Val obviously didn't mind. But Ed was in no state to tour. At band practice on Saturday, my guitarist mentioned that he had a few friends that actually went to the Hamilton show (no, my guitarist hates Van Hagar and he wouldn't go) and they said Ed played awfully, even starting solos in the wrong key, hitting lots of bad notes, etc. Further, if Ed were completely sober, he probably wouldn't have agreed to this tour with Sam. He probably knows damn well that there's only one avenue he can take at this point. Hell, according to Ed in interviews the last few years, Sam wasn't even considered. It was always Dave. But Alex sure put a stop to that.

what interviews...ed was in "cave-mode" since the great VHIII debacle and I don't believe that ed is able to work with anybody except his fucking sister...
