Originally posted by Fabulous Shadow Oh and having her sing "We're gettin funny in the back of my car, I'm sorry honey if I took ya just a little too far" is better? Come on, it's up to you to censor what she listens to and to explain what is inappropriate for her to sing if she somehow hears something outside of your realm...
I walked away from this insult, but I'm back.
Why are you so fucking hard up for an argument, Fab?? Things didn't go your way with Brett so you had to start shit with me?
Firstly, my daughter has never heard FYLT, at least not in my presence.
Secondly, I can not censor what my daughter listens to. Rap is not allowed in my house and she is not allowed to watch any music video programs. But, I can not be with my daughter 24 hours a day. Nor would I want to be. That is pretty fucking unhealthy. So your little wise ass comment about "if she somehow hears something out of my realm" is moronic. She is out there, a very social kid, she is over her friends houses, she rides the bus, she goes to dances, not to mention that she has a radio (GASP!!!) in her room. She is allowed to listen to the top 40 station. Is VH on there currently? Um, fuckin no. But guess who is?
Miss Ska(nk) herself singing about being a stupid ho, knowing full well who her audience is. I put her right up there with Brittney and Christina and all those other hosebags singing inappropriate lyrics to a very young audience.
Of course I explain to her it's inappropriate to sing those lyrics, don't insult me that way. My point is maybe someone should explain that to Gwen.

oh, sorry i'm late it was hard to tear myself away..........
a nickname you say? hmmm, i think it would lack a little "je ne sais quoi" if i came up with it myself.....I trust you to come up with one that'll make everyone happy :p
and yep that did it for me
I like Van Halen more than Dave's PA Rental.....which means I like Van Halen more than you
We got enough Tipper Gores out there! Back in our young days WE were walking around singing VH songs and I'm sure our parents were not too happy. THAT is what I was talking about. We have to monitor what our kids hear and teach them what is appropriate for young ladies to repeat and not to repeat. I didn't say to shelter her or pull out the radio. I just said be active in her choices and keep her informed. It isn't up to the artist to think of our kids. Gwen doesn't write for teens like Britney and Christina and your kid is your priority nor hers.

I have to agree with you here Fab. My son knows "She looks so fucking good........." is coming up in Sinners Swing now(which is my fault-he's only six) so obviously that is one track I cant play in his presence. Obviously most of the stuff in songs is innuendo, which my young kids dont get. Yet.
