Van Fucking Hagar is behind Bette Midler?

Jesus Christ, Eddie might as well hang it up.

Every time I see one of these threads, I just HAVE to chuckle a little bit... I mean, Ed and Al are SO hellbent on discrediting Dave, and his contributions to their success, then to have it spin around and hit them right in the face... Karma indeed!!!

            I KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN

I knew at least one person wouldn't have the sense to just GO to Blabbermouth.net and find the list so since I have to do everything for the morons that still believe Vhagar "tore it up" across America. Here goes.
            1. Madonna
            2. Prince
            3. Shania Twain
            4. Simon & Garfunkel
            5. Metallica
            6. Bette Midler
            7. Sting
            8. Kenny Chesney
            9. David Bowie
            10. Toby Keith.

As I mentioned above Keith's tour grossed a little more than $44 Million so Vhagar's tour must have done less than that (with 80 shows no less). IT'S ALL AT BLABBERMOUTH.NET and they reference BILLBOARD as the source. I can't wait for the next person to question the numbers. The Vhagar tour did not do well. Get over it already.

Somebody copy my post so these hagar fools can see the full top 10 list. I'm tired of their bullshit. It's listed a couple of replies above this one.

What happened to all those "rapid fire sellouts" Sammy?

                  BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I'm convinced a Van Halen reunion would have been number one on that list.

A CLASSIC VAN HALEN reunion would have kicked the shit out of Maddona & Sting. DAVE+EVh, AVH, & Mikey would be the top draw of ANY year.

Sorry to break this to you Brenty Brents, but no Van Hagar in that top ten. We are talking about mega sellout shows here. Not pissy sub 8k attendance average, failures.....

You seem to think that just becuase Ed and Al got their guaranteed
slice of pie, this tour should be in the upper echeleons ??

Lets talk about attendance figures and promoters income...

I was amazed Van Hagar managed to finish all the dates, 'specially with some of the attendances as low as they were. Without that guaranteed fee it would have been doubtful they would have.

The three new "charmless pud pounders" songs tanked (shit, even Without You off Van Halen 3 got some airplay in 1998....2004 was the first time I can remember a new Van Halen release being UNDERplayed on the radio, although apologists will no doubt say contemporary fans don't listen to the radio anymore, it's all downloading, blah blah), the media opinion was by and large negative or indifferent outside of a few perfunctionary local newspaper reviews and the mixed messages of Rolling Stone, and I believe there weren't any multiple dates scheduled for any of the shows (no surprise when your band is having trouble selling out even one date, let alone two).

About the best thing one could say about Van Hagar 2004 is that it wasn't the disaster some predicted it would be, but it had many of the qualities of a flop nonetheless.

Whatever. Fuck 'em. Al and Co. didn't get what they deserved, but close enough. Those fuckers ain't gonna wake up anyway, regardless of the apathetic response they elicit. Just par for the course on Howdy Doody Mountain.

Dude then what are the 10 acts?

Just answer the question and stop rambling on about nothing in particular.

If they played 80 shows at 700K a show, that's $56 million is it not? That would put them above the $44 mil that someone said was 10th place. So what's the whining for? I know your fucking hatred of the band, who cares. Just answer the question.

I think Van Halen are great dude ! I just dont dig the half assed comprimised versions with non original members.
Im not the one whining that they are not on the list

Perhaps that list is based on what the tours grossed
for everyone involved, not just the band members,

I haven't seen a complete list, have you? There was the one article that mentioned 8 bands. So what am I whining about? I asked to see the complete list of the 10 bands, then we can say they were or were not on it. Do you not agree with me here?

You have people saying they weren't in the Top 10, yet nobody knows what all 10 acts were? Interesting.
