Panamark, rustoffa and Raguzza hit it dead on the mark.
Am beginning to wonder if those who attended the 2004 shows even liked classic Van Halen. Just can't understand the mentality of people who heard what was released from 1978 to 1984 and then went on to enjoy what the band put out after Roth left. Must be me, 'cuz I just don't get it.
For anyone in Van Hagar to consider putting out a live release of what happened this year....does Alex really believe that people starved for classic Van Halen would be satisfied with Live Without A Net being put out on DVD?
Hell, I have a hard time seeing where a fan of what Van Hagar did from 1986 to 1996 would have been satisfied by the three new songs and the tour. What Ed and Co. did this year......is that really all that's required to satisfy a Van Hagar fans needs?
I'll tell ya, if Roth had been onboard this year and CVH put out three substandard tracks and backed them up with a tour that smacked of apathy, I wouldn't have parted with nickel one or invested a single minute of my time in it. Tend to think if Roth had been there, Van Halen would have delivered the goods. Does anyone really think Van Hagar delivered this year?
