I tried to use one as a makeshift snow-sled years back. Funny thing about using a Stratocaster as a snow-sled...the bolt-on steering device will send you spinning. That's right, I busted my fucking ass after putting faith in that blues-orientated POS.

    I don't give a fuck...flame away.

My ugly and dorky Peavey Wolfgang is such a better guitar than that piece of melted poo Kramer ever was.

Don't even get me started on the pointy headstock with that shrinking Kramer logo on it. That has to be the gayest headstock ever designed!
I had a Voyager when I was a kid- still have the body...electronics were fucked from day one, brand new our of the box. Neck was an absolute baseball bat. Played a few Barettas that were actually set up and played cool, but also had a friend who got one new about the same time I did that the studs for the Floyd were routed in the wrong place, thing would never intonate properly...their quality control must have sucked back in the day. I'm actually toying with the idea of slapping an Explorer -headstocked neck (NOT the Kramer yucko version) ala the Shark and rebuilding the thing for giggles...

So true. The shape, the contours, the vibrato concept...everything.

Did you notice the replica Ed holds in the pics plus the above image and the image on the page in the magazine where it sits on the counter with the makeup lights and mirror don't match? The stripes are off. I hope that was the prototype, because it sure isn't a faithful reproduction.

Define "faithful" reproduction...I think it'd be REALLY hard for all 300 replicas to be "exact"---especially if you consider some of the scratches on the original are partially UNDERNEATH the layer of red paint from when Eddie re-did it. That's gotta be a bitch to replicate ONCE exactly, much less 300 times. If you look at pics of SRV's Number 1, it's still WAAAAAAAY more beat up than the relic replicas of it. The Clapton Blackie and the Beck Esquire relics came close, but there wasn't as much damage (excuse me---'character' lol) to duplicate on them. I'd be willing to bet Ed's is THE hardest one to duplicate due to the multiple finishes...

What is the point of this? Its not like anyone of any repute is gonna take it on stage. He didnt even use that in the studio anyway, and thats the appeal of VH , the guitar sound on the records. Its a "look how loaded I am I can hang this on my wall" item. Ed is just beyond looney, what was wrong with his Peaveys and Musicmans? Werent the necks on those apparently laser accurate replicas of the franky neck? Ten years ago he was spouting off about how they were even better than his old faithfuls. He is full of shit. Looks like hes burned a LOT of bridges with the business people in his time. What will it be in ten years, the new EVH titanium hip?

Hence, you're speaking about 2002 whereas the prior poster claimed the late 80's which is absolutely false.
