I don't think Mike has a problem with Dave.

I keep thinking that there is stuff we don't know about, and may never know about, in addition to the things that have already been discussed as to why Eddie turned so much on Mike. It's got to be more than Mike playing with Sammy as the Other Half or Mike selling his Hot Sauce. I think something else went down that we don't know about.

If it is over the Other Half and Hot Sauce thing then that is just a shame.

I agree with the people who want Wolfenstein on bass for new album and mikey for Reunion tour. I think that is totally out of the question right now, considering all the stockpiling evidence that Mike is out, but then again, there is Mike's blog, and there is hope...

I think Anthony does infact have a problem with Dave. The reason I say this is cos Michael had/has no problems blabbing about it repeatedly when interviewed. He dissed the shit out of Dave's radio stint and throws out the classic and stereotypical sheep response about Dave "thinking it's still 1984."

Add that to the fact that he's best friends with Hagar who is, has, always was and will forever be jealous of Dave. Hagar's entire career has been living in David Lee Roth's shadow and you know damn well he's had no problem telling Anthony said feelings of resentment both any and every chance he gets.

Michael Anthony was no different than any employee. Don't tell me most of us kisses the ass that feeds us. We pretend we like our coworkers and superiors. We become one for the corporate team, not because we give a ratt's ass but for $$$$$$$$$$.

Most of us would have given our left nut to have what Michael Anthony had. To be in one of the all time great rock and roll bands and the $$$$$$$, pussy, cars, houses, vacations, partying that came with it.

Was the man a gimp. Hell yes, but so is most of the people on the planet.

There's absolutely no doubt about that and that's currently what he's content (as has he been for years) doing anyway. It's beyond obvious that the man has zero desire to make any new music, otherwise, he'd already have collaborated with Hagar or someone. The latter also proposed yet another interestiong question or observation regarding the current state of relations among Anthony, The Sisters and the legal issues that M.A. had to sign away in order to allegedly participate on that 2004 Van Hagar "Reunion" flop tour...

Ok, apparantly Anthony's name has now been removed from all Van Halen publishing lists, except where noted. I know that the green-eyed monster of greediness can do a lot to many 'o people. However, I'm now wondering regarding this fallout that Anthony has with Edward if it has more to do with the lack of Anthony's overall musical contributions to Van Halen's recorded music whilst during his (Mike's) tenure in the band? Meaning, maybe EVH (when renegotiating Van Halen's publishing rights) decided that M.A. really didn't contribute much to many of the latter studio recordings, the greed in EVH decided to go for the juglar financially which ultimately lead to the parting of ways with Michael Anthony and him having anything to do with the Van Halen name?

There has to be something like that going on or has gone on cos the same stuff applies to Dave and his legal battles over the years with The Sisters.

All of which we can only speculate and also wonder?

I don't think spED thought any more or any less of Michael Anthony as a performer, or contributer to the band than he did 30 years ago.

What I DO think is that he doesn't have the last name Van Halen.

Think about it...how spED always revered his parents, in particular his Dad. Think about how much he talked about playing with his Dad, then putting him on Diver Down...

Think about what it meant to him when Dave wanted the name of the band to be Van Halen (at least once he sobered up).

Think about how much it must have pissed him off that many people thought Dave was "Van Halen."

He didn't need to worry about Michael, because Michael was a "good employee."

then think about the Lying Dutchmen...sitting on that couch...no Michael...talking about Dave, and Sammy. Really...nothing from Mike.

As far as Sam...he's a lying fuck.

I also think there's more to Roth and Hagar's relationships than meets the eye...

As far as Michael saying what he said...he was doing what he always does...backs the hand that feeds him...

I've heard him, over the years...talk far more good than bad about Roth...FAR more...

Anthony may not prefer Dave personally, but he definitely prefers Dave ERA material. I've read countless interviews where he states that he loves the classic stuff, it sounds like magic to him......

He may profess to love kickin it with Spambo, but like others have stated, what the hell can he do?

Ed raped him, both money wise and playing wise....

Dave wouldn't play with him in 02..... an obvious slap in the face.

Sam claims to have tried to help him, but got nowhere.

So of course his only ally is Spambo.

But to think he is not fond of Dave is insane. Sure he has all the money he could ever need. But me thinks MA thinks about the old days when it was about making music. The old days when he was allowed to do that. On record and on the road.

Back when he was actually part of a band.
