Since the 80's there is this trend where children are the ones to rule the house and parents are considered bad if they don't "listen to their children's needs"...

There is a law here, against spanking. You can no longer give a spanking on the butt (like most of us had, growing up)... Children know their rights at a very young age so; educators, teachers and... parents are constantly walking on a wire as far as what they can say to and how they can punish a child...
