I wasn't trying to get into your head and I don't smoke. It would be nice to go to the show without getting a contact high. I don't think that's realistic but it would be nice.
"There's a little bit of Van Halen in everybody!" DLR
Hey, I'm going with 9 other adults to see Van Halen. I would agree I am outnumbered on this thread, only a few have posted.
And, oh, by the way.....Roguefuckface or what ever your name is......go fuck yourself or better yet go make sure your kid isn't scratching your copy of Van Halen II.

Why, because you got old and decided to have kids? I chose not to and your children shold not interfere with my having a good time. A VH fan and his weed are in the right place, your kids are not. Say something like that to me at the show and you and I would likely have an issue, right in front of your wife and kids.
Originally posted by Ra Power I attended the Rush concert here the other night, box seats, nice. I've noticed a disturbing trend though, people bringing their children to hard rock concerts. I don't mean 12 year-olds, I mean little kids. I personally think this is a bad idea for everyone involved and would like to politely ask VH fans who are parents to please not bring the kids this time. Van Halen is not family oriented entertainment.
This has been a public service message.
fuck you, i was 12 when i seen vanhalen the first time. anybodys rugrat gets under my heels, ill grind em into the floorboards.

I thought this one was the #1 reply, but I'm marking it down as a tie...

If you people bring your kids to a adult show you had better have them act like adults and stop trying to make this a fraggle rock show.
You should have them conduct themselves like they were in a twenty one bar.
Most states it's agiants the law for any child to be in a bar that doesn't serve 60% food.
This will be one big grown up place full of all the things free people of a grown up nature do if you know what I mean and If junior or lil' sally aint ready, you are the one to blame not me, for wearing my --Fukk You You Fukkin Fukk--- Shirt!
If some woman pulls out the big top and you call security because five year old has not seen naughty parts before .
You are the problem .
I don't care if your kid is seventeen If you don't want the kid stoned from second hand, you had better sell his/her ticket.
Remember it's not about you it's about us.
Take you toddlers to K-Mart to ride the 25 cent horsey not a rock concert.
I would consider any kid under the age of teen a matter for the child services agency.
This is not a outdoor event where you can back away .
Anyone who goes against my words here has that rite but remember
if lil one gets hurt .You maybe should have bought the Disney on Ice tickets.
I brought my two stepkids to the def/lep - bryan adams "family tour" in Illinois 2005 playing minor league baseball stadiums! I thought there would be families! Wrong!! 30-40-50 yr. olds STARVED for rock n'roll! And hardly any kids??? Anyway, the kids were 11 and 9 and kind of intimated! Of course(my luck in life) I get drunk Jag -Off in front of us having an argument w/girlfriend and no regards for my stepkids as the F-bombs were a-flyin!! We didn't let it ruin the show as the kids even wanted to stay for bryan adams after the leps and after they "adjusted to the "atmosphere" anyway it is a tough call! But I saw CVH at 15 twice 1980!! Thank God I did! It did "change my life"so to speak!!

Agreed....In 1998 My son at 9 years old atteneded the Van Halen show with me because HE wanted to see Eddie play in person.
Then in 1999 at 10 years old he wanted to see Roth so he went with me to see him open for Bad Company and was blown away!
He fuckin' loved it when Dave started out with "Lets get ready too ruuuummmmbble"!!
Lastly in 2002 He went with me to see the Sam and Dave gig...
The coolest thing to me was to have a kid thats seen all of these guys and still decided for himself that Dave was and is THE MAN!!
Now at 18 years old and leaving for active duty in the Air Force in January,He is freaking that he isnt going to see the reunion as they havent set any dates here in Texas yet!
He still thanks me from time to time for taking him to those shows,But hopes like hell he doesnt miss the closest thing to the REAL DEAL that he will ever see!
ROCK ON PARENTS!!.....Your kids will love ya for it someday,Especially with all this recent love for Guitar Hero and stuff!!

Your WEED is still illegal bro....Remember that ?
And all anyone has to do to have your ass removed is to tell a security guy.
And besides that realistically these days its alot harder to get away with smoking at a concert PERIOD.

Exactly! What would I do if someone lit up next to my kid? I'd do the same damn thing I'd do if someone did anything else that's illegal in front of my kid. I'd let the proper authorities know. If getting high is such a priority, do it before the show. Kids aside, WTF makes anybody think it's A-the fuck-okay to partake amongst others who may not be so inclined?

No one will be "getting high" like I used to at every fuckin concert from 15 to 30's!! Security is so fuckin tight these days! Maybe a toke ot two will be sneaked, however I don't feel that is even worth a second thought! Saw Maiden in Chicago last October, they had 5-6 chicago cops in groups lined up at the beer/t-shirt stands!!!
I'm taking my 14 year old to two shows.....Chicago and Cleveland. If Indy tix come through he might get three 07 shows. He shares a birthday with DLR and was gonna be pissed if we couldn't make the 5 hour drive to the show on the 10th.He also sat 4th row for the Nov 2004 cheese fest in FtWayne and loved the show but is full well aware of the fact that the Cheddar ones version was miles from CVH.Hes pumped from a lifetime of hearing the tales of the classic era shows and is knows this may or may not happen again since. We'll be down in front at the United Center and promise not to disrupt anyones evening..........................MAYBE. HALEN 2007 IF YOU HAVE THE MEANS............... I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT MISSING IT- F. Bueller
