Oh that would be awesome! They can pipe in Wolf's bass and overdub the backing vocals that won't come close to Anthony's trade make falsetto. And I can't wait to hear Ed play those songs now!!Comment

You bring up a good point, although I'm not sure if they will. I believe Mike signed away most, if not all his rights to the VH catalog; I noticed his name wasn't credited at the end of the movie Superbad which featured a good chunk of "Panama."2012: 2/10 The Darkness, 2/20 Van Halen, 3/3 The Black KeysComment

He didn't sign away his song writing & publishing rights/credits for the Van Halen catalog.
Somewhere around 96 when Best of Volume 1 release came out Mike's name mysteriously disappeared from the songwriting credits for Panama and Jump. It would be interesting if some media type would ask Ed or Al about that... the original 1984 album and the remasters credited Mike for those two songs... then out of the blue he got erased.
I'm not sure how or if the Van Halens can legally exclude Mike from the GH game from a royalties and publishing perspective for the music. Excluding his image and putting Wolfie in there is one thing but financial gain from the music is a completely different beast.
Be interesting to see the legal credits included in the game documentation. I'd bet a buck you see references to VH Music LLC, Diamond Dave Music LLC and Bassplayer Music LLC or something similar tucked away in the fine print."If you want to be a monk... you gotta cook a lot of rice...”Comment

Diamond Dave Music, of course, was secured by the time Dave left the band in '85. So, I see your point in Mike having his own publishing name to secure his own rights to the songs. I would think something like 'Mad Anthony Music' or something.=V V=

Then I bet Ed re-records CVH tracks with his current line up (so the music represents the imagery on the screen)
This way he finally gets his son on CVH recordings.Comment
