Centre Bell has an open date on 3-15. Looks good...
No light at the end of the tunnel, due to budget constraints...

That's awesome! No way they open in Montreal... but it definitely looks good for the East coast!

Yeah, I expect they'll open in Greensboro, or somewhere in the southern states - but I would think its a safe bet to expect a March date for cities such as Boston, Buffalo, and Toronto.

Same here.. 04 was Greensboro and 07 was Charlotte... This year is a leap year, maybe the tour will kick off on February 29th! That would be cool...

I disagree. I read that Interscope approached them with a "global marketing scheme", and the amount of $$$ being shelled out in marketing, I believe, indicates this is going to be a true world tour.

Really the opener is that NY gig on the 5th.

...sort of...although I don't think a 45-minute set would dictate an opener to anything...other than just a taste of what the tour will be like for reviewers and journalists...

As boneheaded as the VH camp is about everything...they do seem to be playing this rather well...

Why is there no mention of a presser after the Cafe Wha show ???

It appears to be a non-public event with only media types being invited ---- so I assume a press conference after the gig similar to the one they had at Beverly Hills Four Seasons in Aug. 2007 ??

I'd bank on Charlotte...it's one of those mid-major arenas that can allow the boys to dip their feet in the water...

Of course...2007 started in Charlotte...and I think that shitball Hagar tour started in Greensboro...

But...with Roth having a voice now with the band...who fucking knows where they'll show up first...

...could be at someone's backyard BBQ...

If reports are true that they'll only be playing a 45 min set, I don't think that qualifies since it won't be a full show.

Sounds to me like the Cafe Wha? show will just be a full run-through of the upcoming album, and won't include any music from the existing catalogue.

What time today would be the latest they could release dates if they wanted to make the 6 O'clock news in the states?

No shit - I'm beyond shocked, and actually very impressed with the Kremlin-like manner that the band has kept all new music under wraps.

I think all bets are off after Jan 5.

depends. maybe 1 pm, could be as late as 4. might be an item better suited to the early news shows, more infotainment than hard news.

we're under all kinds of snow warnings here in northeast Ohio so i wouldn't count on this being on our local news tonight. they'd rather scare us with Snowmageddon.

I would think this is all scripted by Interscope. 2pm eastern time is my guess.
