Any tour disappointments

The only disappointment is the fact they've already played Toronto and I have to enter fucking contests to see them elsewhere (like Vancouver).

If they played here twice, I'd go and see them twice (like they did in 07/08).

The big disappointment is the fact I'm not a rich kid with a trust fund who can
take a private jet and see them play Blood & Fire and Light Up The Sky

I believe Roth keeps that pace just fine. Not once did I look at my watch and say "when is my favorite band gonna finish for Christ Sakes"

OK, I have a legit tour disappointment!! I spent a grand toward 3 tickets & didnt get to see them!!

:D OK, OK, I know...I generously bought for others willingly, but still.....

Money well spent though...they had a BLAST!!

500 miles eh? Wanna take a road trip Sniper? They can't possibly not like potatoes....mashed, hashbrowns, french fries, chili cheese fries, sweet, chips, etc...best starch around! Of course with a nice dose of ranch!

I've only seen Petty that one time, and to be fair there was a lot of rope being inhaled that night. Not by me. I didn't inhale. I think Tom inhaled most of it - he was mellow to a fault. Not saying it was a BAD show - I was relatively entertained - just kind of ... meh. Plus, if I wanted to hear songs played just like the record, I would have saved the money on the ticket and just stayed home and listened to the record. Or went to an Eagles concert.

Tom is really in his element when he tours without an album to promote. Then it's more like a Grateful Dead concert with slightly shorter songs - he plays whatever the Hell he feels like, without any premeditated set lists. Usually lots of his older songs, some great covers, etc.

Mine is not a complaint really-but a wish if perhaps they read the board. I hate concert endings period. I wish they would listen to the applause and really come back each night and truly play an encore-perhaps a different one each night or listen to crowd or just a complete surprise...It is nice to see a band come back out b/c they are listening to the audience..
