I never liked the JD bass - Mike had an old Yahama or something, though, that looked cool. Looked like it had chisel marks on it - a bit like the desk on the cover of Alice Cooper's School's Out, actually !!!

Since I am skiving, I just popped the two of 'em together, and shit - I was right ...
