Don't take your comments back! The reason the shows sucked is because DLR is bored and is intentionally sandbagging his performances! I've seen the ORIGINAL lineup in 1984 and followed DLR every tour since, and he's never looked so lifeless before. Dave isn't even performing like he did last year. There are two options...
1) Dave is bored, and doesn't give a fuck anymore...
2) David Lee Roth died, and someone hired a stunt double to complete the tour... (except this is a lousy stunt double, because this stunt double hasn't done a kick all three shows...)Comment

The said part is that Dave and Ed can't seem to get their shit together at the same time. One seems to carry the other and vice versa of late. Bullshit. Dave can still do kicks! He still trains at the mojo dojo almost daily, right? Watch the kick he does at the beginning of the "She's The Woman" video.... I've seen him perform great in most of the 2012 tour videos as well. Eddie and Alex have been AWESOME every show, DLR has been lacking energy from every show I've seen in Japan, though he was singin' his best in the Tokyo Dome. Whatever, the case... they hired a very Authentic Roth look-a-like on stage! He had me fooled even... but then I noticed he didn't do any kicks! If this is David Lee Roth, then where are the kicks?? I demand DLR take his shirt off and show us the tattoo on the back to prove it's really him! :DComment

I think to say these shows "suck" is a bit of a reach. Not up to the standards we expect...or even hope/wish for, but not suck. They do seem lifeless nowadays. Compare that to the show at the Garden just last year. Just watch the first part and see the energy. Fucking electric and contagious.

Maybe his back quite literally, is out at the moment. That would explain the zero jumps and kicks the past to shows. I saw him do two or three kicks in the footage of the first Japan show. He could be in some serious pain. What to do? Cancel or play hurt? I don't think he's bored as much as he's frustrated. Statements he's made of the past year clearly allude to how he wishes he had his old (young) body back.Comment

That's a 3rd theory, he could be injured! Maybe he looks bored because he isn't in physical shape to do what he did even a year ago? Nitro Express brought up an interesting point at my site, maybe all the EMT work put a serious toll on his back! I dunno... Dave doesn't really seem to be enjoying himself. I think maybe he should have a bottle of Jack on stage with him like his DLR Band days on stage. Either that or give HIM a few lines of blow and let him do a Air Roth kick off the drum riser, you know the stage is constructed similar to the Fair Warning set up in Japan! :D
I envisioned him standing up there with Alex a few times thinking to myself.... Do the flying kick....

I don't see how the EMT work from 6 or 7 years ago would suddenly affect him now. In any case, it certainly doesn't take much to tweak an already bad back. He said his back is not in good shape last year. He's getting old and just has to deal with it like the rest of us mere mortals, whether he's exercised his whole life or not. WARF'SPEDD the DLR Band is back in time, you go there.
Even if DLR reformed that band it would be different..I know you know this.
Dave -TODAY- needs to, Stand And Deliver..couple kiks maybe, but that was then this is... TODAY.. and I like the slides best anyway with some soft shoe...sweeeeeet.
