This cartoon totally sums it up....I was totally happy with all of my VH blessings, feeling satisfied. Then, they announce more dates. And some are in my area. Then hubby buys front row...now I'm back in it. Counting days again. Then...postponed.....then....cancelled. That's what I call unnecessary roughness. Just call me Charlie

I found it a bit strange in the CNN video the way Ed talked about it.

The chick says "The band may go on tour again at the end of the year."

And Ed says "Yeah, I heard some talk about Australia and Japan in October and November. But don't quote me on that because that's management's decision. They just call and say 'You're going here.'"

The band doesn't know? Strange.

Thanks! I'm trying to be hopeful, but after having the ball pulled away one too many times by these guys, it's hard. I just don't get them. Don't understand the planning/thought process at all.

Same old song and dance when it comes to Eddie Van Halen.

--- He fires Dave in 1996 and says "We're not a nostalgia act" --- fast forward to 2004 and 2007 and VH tours as a nostalgia act.

--- He hires Cherone and says "Gary is my musical soulmate for life" --- then fires him in 1999.

--- He says "I got enough new music for 10 albums" in 2001 --- but all we finally get is mostly rehashed old demos in 2012.

--- He says "We bit off more than we can chew and had to postpone the tour" --- which is now a cancelled tour.

Nothing EVH says can be taken as the literal truth ---- the nature of the beast.
