I'm sorry, but I just don't care about them cancelling. I was going to go to at least 5 more shows. Detroit, Toledo, Grand Rapids, Cleveland and London. I would have loved to have seen them more, especially with them digging into the setlist, but I can accept it's over, if it truly is. Don't get me wrong. I don't want it to be. Nor do I believe it is, but time will tell.

It might be over for good. Or, maybe they can't just sit on people's money when they truly don't know how long it will be until they continue, if they do.

Personally, I'd be happy if Wolfgang would truly go into the vaults, and release the stuff we have all wanted for years and years. If I can sit in my living room and watch a blu-ray version of the US Festival, with killer sound, I'd be in virtual heaven.

Van Halen gave us a KILLER album this year. They gave us a pretty fucking good live show. They let us record said live shows in just about any way we wanted. Nobody can ever take away those memories.

If they do reschedule at some point, I'd love to put together some really big Roth Army bash at one of the shows. Start saving your pennies motherfuckers. Just in case. It's fucking time we all meet up in one big group, as opposed to the regionally fractioned groups. No excuses. No pussing out like Full Bong did in Toronto.

we were at Flannery's late after the '07 show. we were over on W 4th WAY late after the last show of Dave's last solo tour...and that was a Sunday night.

BTW...I'm not saying it's not perfectly normal to be disappointed if your show was cancelled. There is just no point in jumping to conclusions and then getting upset based on conclusions and not fact. Give them a chance to make their plans for what's next on their time table, not yours!

I'm sure my original post was more harsh sounding than I intended. I have let it go and am quite happy... For me letting it out rather than rationalizing works better.

My primary issue has been VH's timetable. Due to work and a major relocation of my family I missed all the upper mid-west dates. Was really counting on the 2nd leg dates in the South to get a shot at seeing them a few times. Until something major changes... looks like that ain't happening.

On conclusions and facts... I personally don't believe we've received facts. VH has been notorious with creating smokescreens and bullshit regarding their status. 98% of the time it's been unnecessary and a simple honest statement could have avoided most of the churn among the fans. Every human event with the band isn't a publicity opportunity anymore... They aren't the mystical wonders of their 20's and most of us fans aren't the crazy fanatics of our 20's... A lot of us are also 50-somethings and just want some great tunes and a fun time without all bullshit & hoopla... that's just the blunt point I'm at and happy to express it.

We probably would have had quite a few at the Cleveland show, but it still would have been mostly regional. I'd like something a lot bigger than a regional deal. Somthing big enough to bring the lurkers, and the new people out of hiding. I am talking about an epic VH style bash, produced and directed by the DLR Army!
