Well fuck they were supposed to play Soundwave in Aus last year. They should visit us and other countries before a home coming in US.

We've never seen DLR/VH in Aus, NEVER! And if Dave is gonna charge me $150 and read Hang em High lyrics from the drum riser then he can forget my dosh. Fair is fair.

I'm happy that VH may be playing Australia and other countries they haven't seen in a while (or ever). I'm also VERY happy that they may be making new music. I'm thrilled to have seen them as many times as I did on this tour - and I had a blast each time. My only complaint is the poor planning and disappointing the most loyal and dedicated fans. This is Van fuckin Halen, not some rinky dink operation - how do you schedule dates, then add more dates, only to postpone/cancel them soon after. Who the fuck is running this circus?! Like I said earlier - I was totally happy and satisfied until they added more dates, I got awesome seats, and then they cancelled them. Not what I'd call fan friendly.

Definitely sucks and cancelled brings back memories of all things bad about Van Halen. One thing good that comes out of it is that people get their money refunded instead of it being held onto by Ticketmaster and LiveNation. Bad thing is now the Sam trolls will be out in full force. I hate those arseholes. At least now, if they are continuing they can schedule Japan and Australia they can do those and reschedule North American dates for the winter when the market isn't jammed with every other band.

There's alot going on behind the scenes that led to this.

The economy sucks, the tour is probably costing everyone involved a ton a money and if ther is no profit, believe me, they'll pull it.

Album sales have been mediocre,(in this day and age of digital fickle, adhd youth), to say the least.

Hardly any promotion from Interscope, (they probably got a crap deal to begin with), no ads, no tv, no radio, with the exception of the cnn and guitar world
interviews, and the biggest negative, NO ROTH !!!

Where is this DVD they proposed to release ?

Where is that "Greatest Hits" cd with Roth ? Why did that get pulled ?

I hope they get their shit together because wasted time and years are going by quick.

I'm sorry, but I just don't care about them cancelling. I was going to go to at least 5 more shows. Detroit, Toledo, Grand Rapids, Cleveland and London. I would have loved to have seen them more, especially with them digging into the setlist, but I can accept it's over, if it truly is. Don't get me wrong. I don't want it to be. Nor do I believe it is, but time will tell.

It might be over for good. Or, maybe they can't just sit on people's money when they truly don't know how long it will be until they continue, if they do.

Personally, I'd be happy if Wolfgang would truly go into the vaults, and release the stuff we have all wanted for years and years. If I can sit in my living room and watch a blu-ray version of the US Festival, with killer sound, I'd be in virtual heaven.

Van Halen gave us a KILLER album this year. They gave us a pretty fucking good live show. They let us record said live shows in just about any way we wanted. Nobody can ever take away those memories.

If they do reschedule at some point, I'd love to put together some really big Roth Army bash at one of the shows. Start saving your pennies motherfuckers. Just in case. It's fucking time we all meet up in one big group, as opposed to the regionally fractioned groups. No excuses. No pussing out like Full Bong did in Toronto.

That works for somethings in life... but let's be honest... 90% of the time anyone who says they don't expect anything, actually do deep down inside. They are just rationalizing the situation to minimize their emotional response... which is usually frustration, disappointment and anger. If that works for you... great. Some of us can't tuck that away inside and have to let it out...

Sitting around waiting for something good to happen in life isn't generally going to get you what you want, nor need. Got to go out and make it happen.

Then there's responsibility and credibility. When others make commitments to provide something and you buy in... they are expected to deliver. That's what responsible adults do. Sometimes things prevent that but the committed party can generally provide you a truthful and reasonable explanation for FAILING to deliver. We have none of that going on here... no honest disclosure... broken commitments... lies... deception... etc...

I don't know about most of you... but my time, money and heart rarely sticks it out with anyone who pulls this type of shit. Especially when it's become a multiple repeat offense.

Yeah it's just music, a band, rock-n-roll... But I do have expectations of a certain level of responsibility from alleged "adults" and business people... That's not an unrealistic expectation... is it?
