    LOL
    Nickie Me Boy...
You are a good with your mathematics! LOL
Yes I did see classic Van Halen when I was SEVEN.
    I went with my dad.
I heard jump on the radio... and I was hooked.
I didn't really even know the meaning behind the lyrics back then..
I actually first starting listen to VH when I was five...
I forget which cartoon or cartoon movie it was back in 1982... it had the song from Van Morrison, "Brown Eyed Girl"... I wanted it for my birthday... instead of gettin' Van Morrison... I got Van Halen.. the album Diver Down... and the rest was history..
Shit, I barely remember things back then... my family always was big into ROCK like ZEPPELIN and the doors... so I memorized alot of shit I heard my dad play on vinyl at a very early age.
So anyways... Diver Down was the 2nd album I owned... sesame street or the transformers soundtrack was the first lol.
It was a good concert too... Autograph opened for VH.
Still got the stub somewhere in my house.

Van Halen was a local band in my hood. I was litening to them before they had a label. They were playin parties that were practically in my back yard. Just because I don't get a SPASTIC over Roth doesn't mean I don't know about him or like him... It just means I have my priorities straight and my past times in perspective.

It's a fucking shame you sold your soul to Hagar, if you were there from the beginning fab.
I could spit on those people.
        Van Hagar is total shit.

I saw VH 4 times in 04. Each show was different than the last. Why did I go? I love VH... The music. IMO, it's only a tad bit different than seeing the Punks or any other VH cover band. It's about the music. I don't love or hate Sammy, nor do I love or hate Dave. I've seen both of them several times since the break up. Buy both of their music. Why should I or anyone else have to choose? It ain't LIFE man. It's just music.

And precisely how old were you when VH split WARF (I actually remember crying, I actually was ashamed that I teared up in junior high school in front of my friends, now it's a personal badge of honor for me that I knew something great was at an end). I mean, I'm getting up there at 35, and I was like 14 when they split, so you were, oh, seven-years old WARF? :D Are you kidding me? Dude, cut the act! Did you go on a kindergarten rampage when you heard that VH split? Was it tough to finger paint that day?:D
          LMAO!

Now if you want more of the honest truth.
I didn't even know David Lee Roth left Van Halen until 5150 came out.
I asked my friend, who's that dude with the POOFY hair?
Why isn't he doing any kicks?
Sorta went on hiatus for awhile... didn't buy EEAS when it was first released... don't even really remember Yankee Rose when it first came out.
Then skyscraper came out... I picked up EEAS and SKYSCRAPER together... yup.. 1988... I was eleven then... I became a diehard Roth fan and never looked back.
I fucking laughed when I heard "When It's love" cuz back in 1988, I went on a Roth Binge... buying every classic Van Halen record there was... and I could tell this was no way the same fucking band.
            No fucking way.

IMO~ I's better that it didn't stay the same. Who wants to hear someone trying to sound and act like someone else. Dave owned what he did and no one has even come close since.

VH was smart to change things up when Sammy joined. It was a whole new band. Why do you guys feel like we have to hate um? CVH and Van Hagare are 2 different bands. Loving Van Hagar or hating them has no bearing on what kind of people we are.

Am I a sheep? Hell yes! Do I care? Nope, I am happy to be true to me.

Okay, i'm gonna settle down... and take things back down a notch.
Basically, all I'm saying is... VH left a huge fucking impact on me as a young boy.. I used to jump on my fuckin' bed and listen to jump... tryin' to do the backwards Roth Jump.

You know... I still think Dave is gonna get back with Van Halen.
Call me crazy or what have you...
That's why I post here, that's why I dedicate myself to this place.
Yeah some of my ideas may seem radical... but I've been through it all the last twenty years... I am not a fucking pussy... I've had close friends and relatives die... and held back the tears... but when Dave was booted out of Van Halen again in 1996, I almost fucking cried like a little baby!

                    It's a fucking passion.
It's a fucking attitude and lifestyle.
I don't know why anyone would take Eddie's side after 1984.
                    I can't see it.
I see things my way, and nobody can change it!
                    2+2 = 4
                    3+1 does not equal 4.
I stayed loyal to DLR... and I'm sorry... I just can't accept anyone buying the Hagar albums or blowing any way the wind blows... when it comes to your stance on Van Halen.
I'm just a fucking pure breed Classic Van Halen fan.
I can't accept anyone else who is NOT as passionate as me.

Yeah well, I've admitted buying VAN HAGAR and to seeing them in 1988 at the Monsters of Rock.

I think there is a review around here from that tour that was posted here earlier this year, and it hit the nail on the head. This was a band that was sorely lacking anything resembling the funk and mojo they had with the classic lineup I saw at Buffalo's Memorial Aud (great old place to see a concert, and several classic boots were made there, including the last PINK FLOYD show in Buffalo in 73,' when somebody was paralyzed in an accident). They were great, best concert I ever saw. We had a family in front of us, they came because they hear "Jump" on the radio! They had NO IDEA what they were in for, uhuhuhuhuhuh! Oh the looks on their faces when DAVE dropped the F-BOMB was priceless!!:D Plus, "Jump" didn't come on till the end, and VH played quite a set that night, since I think they skipped Buffalo on the Diver Down tour, but I'm not sure...

VAN HAGAR was terrible. Not only in comparison to 84' CVH, but I think VAN HAGAR was the worst major live act I've ever seen play, or the most disappointing. I was dehydrated and severally sunburned, and saw how horrible they were. There were some great acts that day, the Scorpions killed in their set. Metallica drove the crowd nuts, VAN HAGAR was just deflating... Ed was too drunk I think, he was just off. And Hagar gave the perception of an annoying, arrogant prick without anything to back it up. But, there was one thing good about the VAN HAGAR concert, SAM's mic kept failing.

Point is, I bought everything Roth/VH related until 88'. And heard a friends tape of F.U.C.K. he made me, and really became annoyed with it, but I find it hard to believe that someone can really hate VAN HAGAR (at least to the extent that they deny DAVE IS CLASSIC/REAL VAN HALEN!) without witnessing the shitfest that happened after 1986. Hell, even 5150 has a lot of DAVE on it, another thing I fucking hate about them, they certainly used a lot of ROTH's influence to get their ShAM rolling...

I hate VAN HAGAR, because I know what existed before it, and because I saw what both were about. You can't hate someone or something you don't know...

I've always loved EDDIE guitar playing, but I hated the man after 86'.

I've bought every VAN HALEN album at least twice, if not three times (I had them on cassette before CD, and then I had the remasters CD)...

Ok cool. But people are different and have different likes and dislikes. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say that Van Hagar was ever better than CVH. I think everyone pretty much agrees to that. The trouble begins when people who did enjoy Van Hagar admit it. Fact is you can love CVH and still enjoy Van Hagar.

I didn't fucking sell out, to buy CD's or tickets to band called Van Halen... when in fact.. it was NOT Van Halen.

                              sure you can

because they (Van Hagar) bash the fuck out of Roth...and have from the fucking start
