It would depend upon the level of clearance, I don't think a LTC necessarily would have a Top Secret clearance, and certainly no SAP clearances if not on a specific project....

Probably cleared to the level of Secret but not TS SAP....

What actually happened is that Trump flew up from Florida to DC on Wednesday morning to see Biden and Gaetz was on the plane. In those 2 hours he somehow managed to persuade Trump out of the blue to appoint him AG.

Although someone I know who's a corporate strategist suggested... what if, the end goal was to get Gaetz out of the House..? Pick him for AG with the release of the pending ethics report on him ready... he resigns the House...leak the report... He fails to win the Senate Advise and Consent vote. He's out of the House and won't be serving in the new Trump administration. Problem solved...
